Otago Street is located in one of the most historic and architecturally eclectic neighborhood. Youâll be close to everything in Glasgow but far enough to enjoy a relaxing trip.
Location, Location, Location- only 11 mins walk to the city centre and a 2 minute walking distance to Glasgow University.

Good location and large apartment. However, much more care should be taken to cleaning. There were crumbs on the living room rug and floor, which we vacuumed up ourselves. There were sticky spots on the kitchen counter and floor. The worst part was the bathroom in the hall. It smells so bad from black mold that I refused to use it. It is very visible as well.
The owner forgot we were coming and wasn't answering our messages in how to get in. He answered when i called way after our check in time and still had to go clean from the previous guests. Since he cleaned the whole place in about 30 minutes, it wasn't very clean. One of the showers didn't work, and one of the toilet seats was kind of broken. There was only a small refrigerator without a freezer for ice. There's no table with chairs, so when we played cards, people had to sit on the floor, and you have to sit on the couch to eat. There's potential for this place, but the owner needs to do some work and needs to be more organized.
This is a nice place to stay with a very convenient location in Glasgow. Local eateries and groceries were an easy walk away. It is close to the University but also convenient to other attractions. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood location that seemed a bit more authentic that staying in a tourist area hotel.
This is a good apartment with decent sized rooms in a great location. There are great restaurants and cafes nearby. The parking was an issue for us; itâs permit holders only on Otago Street itself. There were some spaces on the parallel street but they are not guaranteed so we ended up using Just Park to find secure parking nearby (this worked fine for us as we didnât need our car during our stay). Other than that, a good place to stay for your visit to Glasgow!
Nice location and nice place, but needs just a tad or work
This Vrbo is very clean, and it is a great location for doing work at the University. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and there were lots of pots and pans for cooking. But there are also some problems. First, the tenant should realize there is no freezer or ice maker. This is not a problem if you know about it in advance. The internet is extremely spotty. It only works well in specific locations. We had to move around the living room to get optimal internet. The door hinge to the guest bathroom just needs a little oil, it is very squeaky and wakes up people at night. In addition, when we were there the shower drain plugged up. Also, we could not figure out how to control the floor heaters. They seem to come on at scheduled times, or we just donât understand. Parking on weekdays if very difficult, but previous reviews said the same thing so we knew about this. In summary, I would stay there again with some very simple fixes: internet, door hinge, and shower drain.
