The cottage its self was cute and cozy had everything you would need, the location was very quiet and peaceful just what we needed to get away from our busy lives. Itâs a short drive to lots of beaches and lovely scenic walks over all a lovely place to stay
Cottage was quaint and tidy. Only had one sofa, and the bed was a only a double which we struggled with, but for single a weekend it was okay. Check in was easy, KEYSAFE on side of door, and it is less than 5 minutes from Amroth beach. We had booked it specially for the hottub, but the hottub was right next to the road in the caravan park, so it depends how you feel being in the hottub where everyone can easily see you. We just waited til about 10pm when it was dark and most people had already gone to bed to then go in. Also there were no instructions, it didn't take much to figure out but just to be aware. For consideration if you have a dog, as it is dog friendly - there is no dog cage or bed, but more importantly the photos implies there a secure green/patio area so your dog could roam free, this isn't the case and there is very open access to the caravan park road. It wasn't very busy, but obviously there is potential for cars and kids and walkers so you have to monitor anytime they want to go out, there is no secure area to leave them to roam in.
Cosy and welcoming, a lovely little cottage owned/run by lovely people. The perfect spontaneous getaway for myself, my daughter and our 2 dogs! It is a good base for exploring the nearby beaches and the shops and restaurants in Tenby. Many thanks, we had a wonderful time!
We found the cottage to be clean and comfortable although cottage i think should be changed to chalet .We were disappointed that there was no back garden for our dog .the bathroom could do with a update and a new rug in the sitting room.no privacy hottub the hotĂhereTheiscnotprivate
Could be nice if it was clean
Terrible smell coming from the rug and dusty
But the bed and bedroom was clean and we only stayed 2 nights instead of 3 because of the smell in the living room from the rug.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Honeysuckle Cottage
Had a problem finding as it was actually on a caravan park which would have been no problem if we had been told âŠ.was very clean and tidy (shower was a bit battered) but was ideal for what we needed Didnât feel we could use Hot tub as not comfortable being overlooked not much privacy
OK, so I arrived at check in time, only to be told the boiler had blown up earlier and it was being repaired, so I had to go away and come back in an hour and a half. Earlier that day I had received a call from the management company, and they didn't inform me of the problem. When I said this to the person on site I was told that the management company probably weren't aware. How is that for communication?
I returned later and got into the cottage. But outside it was like a construction site with heavy noisy vehicles digging and shifting rubble. It was a mess. The workers were pleasant and helpful, but the environment was unpleasant. The area had very little lighting, so luckily I had packed a small torch, as I had to walk my dog around a cluttered and dangerous and dark site every night. There was no enclosed space where I could let him out, and no torch was provided either. I was twice asked to move my car as it was in the way of diggers, and packing up to leave, I had to carry heavy bags back and for to car which was a parked now a fair distance from the front door. I couldn't get closer due to construction vehicles and piles of rubble in the way. Nobody once came to explain or apologise. The inside of my car became really dirty, as did the floor of the cottage. And there was no sweeping brush provided. The front door sneaked each time it was opened. The cottage allowed my dog, but the intro booklet didn't give dog friendly eating places, or vets contact details. There was no bowl in the kitchen wash basin. There was stuff left at back of property, concrete slabs, wooden structures etc. The wrong WiFi password was given. Luckily I guessed the correct one. I was provided little more than a Thimbleby of washing up liquid, and there was no salt in the salt shaker. The 4 star displayed certificate was 3 years out of date.
On the plus side, the place was clean, when I arrived, and smart tv was good. Things I asked for like bathroom mat was provided promptly.
I just felt there was a lot of room for improvement, especially in terms of safety and security. Happy to discuss any of this if you want to contact me. However, I won't be staying here again, sorry.
We had a lovely few days in Amroth, going to the beach, eating out and taking short trips into tenby
This cottage was an absolute delight to stay in and was perfect for our first short trip away with our 6 month old dog, who also found staying very comfortable. A lovely walk to Amroth beach through the fields, and woodland, also a perfect location to be able to go into saundersfoot and Tenby, we had a brilliant time, thank you!
