The cottage: This great newly renovated holiday cottage in Tully Village is the perfect location for a couples retreat or a family break. Located just a two minute walk from Tully village, you are just five minutes walk from Tully beach & pier. This would be a quieter beach making it perfect for a swim or for a family sand castle building competition. But you have numerous beaches within a ten minute drive to choose from in this great location. The larger village of Tullycross is just 1km up the road with a path the whole way, so enjoy a pint in one of the pubs or a meal in Paddy Coynes without having to worry about the drive home. Kylemore Abbey and the Connemara National Park are also just 10 mins away.
Inside: This is a lovely bright and airy cottage. You enter into a large open plan Kitchen/Living/Dining area. The kitchen has everything you could need during your stay. The living area has comfy couches with a great view out of the large sliding doors. There is a TV and electric stove to enjoy during a cosy night in. Also downstairs you will find a double bedroom with large ensuite with walk in shower. Upstairs there is a further large bedroom with a double and single bed. This room has beautiful views of the sea and mountains, across to Mweelrea, the tallest mountain in the area. Across a short hall is a large family bathroom with shower and separate bath. This house may suit someone with walking difficulties. Outside there is a small laundry room and garden furniture.

We had such a gorgeous week staying at Honeysuckle Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable for us and was equipped with everything we needed. The best part was the location, within a 5 min walk to a lovely little pier, very safe for swimming and an outdoor sauna, such a lovely treat! Also in walking distance of shops and two pubs for food and drinks. Noreen was such a helpful host. Highly recommend staying here âșïž
We loved our stay at Honeysuckle Cottage. The property is in prrfect condition with a fantastic location and close to all you need for a holiday in the west. We would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Comfortabele house, the view from the house is even better than showed on the pictures. Good shop nearby. Helpfull caretaker. Perfect location to explore Connemara.
Excellent house in great location for family time on local beaches
We stayed for a week and found the house to be excellent. Spotlessly clean, everything provided and with a shop literally 30 seconds up the road and a beach down the road. There are loads of other beaches nearby in close proximity too and obviously been in connemara there are plenty of other activities on your doorstep.
Honeysuckle Cottage is a very modern and clean holiday house (brand new kitchen, new floors, new bathrooms). Everything you possibly need is provided: kitchen stuff, washing machine and dryer, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, flatiron). Comfortable beds, two bathrooms (two showers plus a bathtub). The best thing is the stunning view from two big living room windows: You can see the sea, the great landscape - simply fantastic! It's only a short walk to the sea/beach. The more beautiful beach is a short drive away (30 min by foot along the road; there's no path along the coastline). Right behind the house is a gas station with small supermarket (fresh scones every day!) and two lovely pubs in Tully Cross. During the summer months there's traditional Irish music and dancing every Tuesday night in Tully - a great experience for us! Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, the Connemara National Park - all just a few minutes away. We had a wonderful stay!
Very happy to recommend Honeysuckle Cottage.
This holiday house is of very high standard, well presented and thoughtfully kitted out for a comfortable stay. Suited us perfectly as couple with 2 adult children. Ideal location, with terrific sea and mountain views, in beautiful north Connemara. Pier and beach few minutes walk away, very well stocked grocery stop around corner, just 15 mins walk to 2 pubs serving good food. Major historic, cultural and naturally beautiful sites to visit in surrounding areas will involve drive through stunning scenery. We have rebooked for next year.
We had a brilliant week in Connemara in early June. Honeysuckle Cottage is well equipped, very comfortable, close to the beach and to village facilities, and is conveniently located to explore the region. Thanks to Michael and Noreen for facilitating us so well.
Beautiful house very well equipped for a family of 5. No stone left unturned when it came to what was supplied in the house.
Good shop nearly right next door which sold everything.
Would definitely recommend.
Thankyou for a wonderful stay!!!!
Outstanding stay in this property, the owners were very pleasant to deal with and explained how they had converted and extended the property themselves during the pandemic, so it was lovely staying in such a well thought out, pristine and very high spec property. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and then more. Everything was spotless, there's stair gates which are great if you have young kids, and plenty of space and storage. The views from virtually every window were stunning and the area itself is fantastic with plenty to do for everyone. Would highly recommend and would love to return.
We loved the clean and spacious house and the location down a quiet lane where we could walk to the Quay. So peaceful with wonderful views from the house. And great to have a well stocked food shop on our doorstep and Paddy Coyne's pub serving wonderful food and Guinness near by. The house is in easy reach of Connemara National Park, Clifden, Kilmore Abbey and Inishbofin Island. There are some beautiful beaches and with the weather not too sunny were very quiet which suited us fine.
One small recommendation - the outside area could be more inviting with some further shrubs.
This was a brilliant holiday and a very beautiful area. We know the area well but loved this particular bit/ village .
It was very quiet and near a beach / pier to walk in evenings .
Michael and Noreen were there any time we had queries .
Excellent seafood in Paddy Cullens down the road and fabulous places to visit nearby.
A very well appointed and comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Wonderful views of the surrounding hills and coastline and shop 5 mins walk away.
