Southgait Hall occupies a prominent position in the heart of St Andrews. Chapel View is in a modern apartment block developed behind the original Royal Hotel building and benefits from being a stone's throw from the bustling town centre. There is private parking in the courtyard and a covered area at the front door with an intercom entry system into the communal stair. The stairs lead up to the first floor where the door to no 15 is on the left. A vestibule with coat hooks opens in to a large bright hall that leads to the four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and dining kitchen.
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a shower room en-suite. This room has comfortable zip and link beds which can be configured as one king bed or with two single beds. The bedroom has fitted wardrobes providing ample storage space for clothing and luggage.
Bedroom 2: This bedroom has zip and link beds and can be either a twin or king double with fully fitted wardrobes providing ample storage for all your possessions.
Bedroom 3: A further bedroom with zip and link beds that can be either a twin or king double with fully fitted wardrobes.
Bedroom 4: The final bedroom also with a zip and link bed that can be either a twin or king double with fully fitted wardrobes.
Bathroom: This generous family shower room also has a wc and whb.
Living room: The hall leads on to the living room with views over to Blackfriars Chapel in front of Madras College. It has two comfortable sofas along with extra chairs and a coffee table. Large smart TV.
Dining kitchen: The newly fitted modern kitchen is fully equipped including a built in fridge freezer, washer drier, dishwasher, induction hob, electric oven and an integrated microwave/grill including a pleasant dining table and seating area which overlooks the courtyard.
Garage: The property has its own garage which is at the end of the block with an electric up and over door. It is a deep garage with space for storage as well as car parking.
May we respectfully advise there is no lift/elevator in the building and there is one flight of stairs to climb leading to the apartment.

Please be aware that the annual Lammas Street Market will be in operation in St Andrews from August 8th to August 12th 2024. The market will operate on South Street from 10th August to 12th August and on these dates South Street will be closed to traffic and access to the car parking at Chapel View will be unavailable. The market will operate until 11.00pm.
Couldnât ask for a better location! Everything in St. Andrews was walkable from where we stayed with plenty of dining options around as well. The unit itself was clean and everything worked as it should. Even the beds were comfortable. Would recommend to anyone staying in St. Andrewâs.
The property was as advertised; convenient location with lots of bedrooms, sitting room and kitchen. Location is great in terms of walk ability within town, but a little loud. Walls (interior and exterior) are not very well insulated for sound. Beds are on the softer side. Nice to have a washer and dishwasher.
We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was clean, and had all the amenities to make us feel at home. The only downside was the close proximity to a busy alley with noisy students, but this is easily overlooked given it is a university town after all!
My family and I loved our accommodations in St Andrews. It was so clean and comfortable. It was tucked away enough from the street and so close to all the shopping. It is a short walk to the Old Course and we had so much fun exploring the beautiful town. Jannettaâs Gelataria is right down the road as well as Fisher and Dolandsonâs bakery. Both are a must! Thank you so much for a wonderful, homey place to stay!
Spent five days in St Andrews spring 2023 with total of five guests and pictures and description are spot on. Very clean, terrific location, nice furnishings and really helped make a good trip better. Would not hesitate to return.
We were in St Andrews for a graduation and were a party of 8. This well-appointed flat with four rooms was perfect for our family's needs. And the location is wonderful.
The kitchen was well stocked. You have a good-sized refrigerator, a microwave, a stove, and laundry. The bathrooms do not have soap or shampoo, but the water pressure and temperature were very good.
We were in town with my brother and adult children for a wedding and this apartment was perfect! We were only 4 due to a few last minute cancellations so everyone got a queen bed. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE! Showers were very nice too and easy to get 4 people through quickly. You canât beat the location, a short walk to everywhere - restaurants, cafes, shops, historic sites and the beach, with a taxi stand nearby if you need to go further out. We did not cook in but the tea kettle a s coffee maker for good use a d the kitchen appeared to be well stocked. Parking was very useful for our rental car. We visited during chilly and sometimes rainy weather and the temps inside were very comfortable. I highly recommend this place!
Great location near golf and markets. Well-appointed and clean. Two caveats: 1) No top sheet, just a mattress sheet and duvet. 2) Rooms overlook Lades Brae, a walkway used by drunken revelers at all hours. Still, very nice apartment.
Our family of 6 adults stayed here and we were in love! Every detail is perfect. Location, beds, kitchen, ease of stayâŠ.we couldnât have asked for more. We canât wait for our next stay!
Lovely well equipped apartment, close to St Andrews great amenities.
Unfortunately there is a pedestrian lane that passes the bedroom side of the property so would recommend ear plugs as can be noisy at weekends but a great stay!
Very clean, well equipped, modern apartment in the centre of St. Andrews. We were attending a book launch plus having a small family reunion so it was ideal for us. Being able to park in the grounds was great. We walked everywhere but if we had been staying longer and exploring further afield this apartment would still have ticked all the boxes.
