We had the most amazing stay on Crete. The villa was first class with beautiful views of the coastline
The service of the team and especially their responsiveness to any queries was superb!
Huge thanks!!
Apart from a few minor wifi issues watching tv of an evening, it was a perfect stay and in a great location. Two lovely taverna's within walking distance, would love to return one day!
Occasional problems with electrics tripping and showers changing from hot to cold other brilliant 2 tavernas within walking distance . Maria very lovely and so helpful x

Wonderful home! Easily the best place we rented in the 4 spots we stayed (Naxos, Santorini, Crete and Athens). Spacious, clean, relaxing, safe, unique. Ate at 2 local restaurants in the small town, fantastic! Were able to purchase groceries in Rethymno, ate at the villa often, including our at backyard grill space. Divine! Very accurate. Great rental!
We loved staying at Villa Ilia. The villa was clean and set up well for our family. We were easily able to prepare breakfast each morning and eat on the balcony. The view was amazing and we could see Rethymno in the distance. The drive from the villa was about 10 minutes to town. The village was quaint and quiet. We loved visiting the local taverna and found George and Eleni to be gracious hosts with excellent food. The one thing that was lacking was the comfort of the beds in the rooms. They could use a little mattress topper to make them softer. Otherwise, it was a great stay and we would stay again.
Never having been to Crete, we did our best to research areas. It really depends upon what you are looking for... Half of our group of six preferred this location for it's extremely authentic small town feel and quietness. The other other half would've preferred staying in Chania which had a little more going on. We rented a car which was a must either way. Other than that, we loved the spaciousness of the house, more than what the six of us needed. It was clean and the views were incredible! There was a large outdoor balcony where we sat for morning coffee, a side patio and outdoor kitchen which we did not use, but was a cool plus. The lower pool area was very pretty. Unfortunately, the pool was not heated and was too cold for us to use in September. That was a disappointment. We would've paid extra for heating of the pool. We were forewarned that the driveway which leads to the front door was extremely steep. It wasn't a problem for us, but could be for anyone the least bit motorically challenged. If you stay here, don't miss the nearby taverna and coffee shop-- such an authentic small town Greek experience with fresh food and friendly people. Prices were crazy reasonable.
The biggest downside about this place were the beds-- mattresses were thin and hard, in great need of replacement!!
All in all, a good experience.
Location meravigliosa, tranquillitĂ e panorama spettacolare.
Una villa confortevole e ben tenuta.
Consigliatissima per la vacanza di due famiglie o un gruppo di amici
What a fabulous villa.
Fantastic views great space and not far from lots of places to visit.
We had twice weekly maid clean, new towels and bedding.
The owners couldn't of been more helpful in recommending places to go.
Would highly recommend.
Great villa with good size bedrooms living space and pool area.
Limited facilities in village but a decent taverna and little mini market selling the basic so enough for us.
Short taxi into town with has loads of shops and restaurants.
Only thing we would mention is the villa is at the top of a steep hill with our older relative struggled with and the stairs from the living area to the basement bedroom are dangerous for small children needed a optional baby gate if travelling with kids we had to block off with prams.
But have a fab holiday and would return.

This villa is really how I would have my own house to be built. With the upper floor, the night view with all the lights is breathtaking and feels like a fairytale. Mornings were my favorite time of the day when I could perform my mornings exercise, for at-home its always a rush. for a great deal, the accommodation met our expectations that were derived from the pictures. with the presence in Greece, the school history is fully experienced, and the old atmosphere could be tasted. For sure, on another occasion I will take the opportunity to be back in Greece, the land of my dreams.

My husband, two kinds and I were very pleased to have stayed at this villa.
Being primary level teachers we were able to bring back our experiences to the class room and incorporate them into our history and geography lessons.
My husband and kids especially enjoyed the pool ( i just laid beside the pool and enjoyed a good book and the sun), whereas the view of the mountains was incredible.
The staff and owner of the villa were very gracious and most helpful, which just added to our joyful experience. Definitely a place worth returning to..

Last week Oct 2019. Lots shops taverns closing dow This week . Beaches and towns missing the throngs of tourists. Locals friendly. Weather 23-26 c and sea warm enough to swim for an hour without getting cold. We had
6 days sunshine and rain one evening only.
Old town of Rethymno lovely. Some great restaurants. We drove a lot over 700 miles to ancient sites , caves and beaches . Rethymno is central north crete and ideal base to explore west or east but not both as time to do both is for some excessive.. The roads inland are tortuous and progress is slow but the scenery makes up for it. Very peaceful spacious Villa. Would definitely come again. Maybe a few weeks earlier in the end of season. Was a very satisfying end of season break . Agni travel very professional and contact almost instant Re any queries. Thankyou Agni travel

Nicely furnished villa with an idyllic overview at night brings one back to peace. the villa is complete with the clean pool, bed linen, and kitchenware. People show hospitality to foreigners, good food at local restaurants, and well-equipped shops. Going to Greek definitely includes a visit to the beach and historic locations. Traditions from ancient times are still a part of this Greek island that must be kept well preserved. Thanks to all the people that made our holiday unforgettable.

Large and beautiful villa overlooking the town of Rethymno. Indoor and outdoor space more then sufficient for a family of 8 adults. Cleaning was excellent. Several terrraces including barbeque facilities and clean and wonderful pool area. Short driving distance to Rethymno beaches by use of own car. Location in Roussospiti was great - small an charming village with local restaurants. The villa is recommended for lager groups and families.
