Getting Around:
The Subway is the easiest way to get around the City Centre and West End of Glasgow. Running every 5 minutes at peak times, it takes just 24 minutes to complete a circuit of the 15 stations.Glasgow is a very walkable city, especially in the city centre, so you can easily explore it on foot whilst taking in the beautiful buildings and architecture around you - it's often the reason they will tell you to "look up" when you're in the city.

Other Things to Note:
We can arrange rental of a high chair and travel cot upon request during your stay.

Good location/poor cleanliness

The apartment itself was not well cleaned or maintained. There was dust everywhere and mold issues. The pictures don’t show it, but the en suite bathroom had a leak and lots of mold on the ceiling, curtain, and shower grout. I reached out and explained this to the property manager after the trip and was told that I should have brought it to her attention during the trip so that it could have been taken care of-obviously, mold could not have been remediated while we were staying at the property so no, this was not an option. Additionally, there were zero bath towels or wash cloths, paper towels or napkins. There is one small TV in the den. There is also an overwhelming musty smell every time you walk into the apartment. Pros: The kitchen was well stocked and clean. There is no coffee machine as pictured on the counter. The floors were clean. The property manager was responsive. The location was great. The apartment is on the ground floor.

Glasgow stay

As it turned out, the location was excellent. We weren’t given the address or instructions on how to access the apartment until the day we checked in (no matter how hard we tried). This made it difficult to make some plans and to arrange for airport transportation in advance because we couldn’t give anybody the address.

Beware of agency VRBOs

While the neighbourhood is super, I can not comment on the property. We never stayed there due to (1) the host did not respond to the 5 messages I sent re the check in/arrival process; (2) in speaking with a VRBO representative, i was told that it was an agency managing the VRBO and that i would receive instructions 3 days before arrival date which was perfect as we were hiking and cell service was intermittent; the VRBO rep also called the contact number on the listing but no answer (3) to cover the possibility of this being a scam, I booked a hotel that I could cancel the day before we were to arrive at the VRBO; I received VRBO arrival instructions the night before we were to arrive at the VRBO and by that time, I could not cancel the hotel. In the future, I would ensure that there is a person behind the rental and not 'canned' emails that are sent out with no ability to contact the host.

Great flat in West End!

Excellent location and perfect for our family! Very clean, close to restaurants and public transportation. Would definitely stay again if/when travel to Glasgow in the future.

Excellent property in perfect location for Glasgow University, West End, Kelvin Park and Botanical Gardens. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, good showers.
