Property not as described
Misled to believe your dealing with a person when in fact it’s a real estate agency. Broken inside bathroom glass shower door exposing a sharp edge. Shower control broken. No a/c in one of the bedrooms. BBQ rusted and in need of repair. Pet fee unreasonably high and a very high cleaning fee on top the pet fee
Overall a good experience and we enjoyed our stay
1. Living room furniture is very uncomfortable
2. Driveway needs some repair
3. Sight distance to pull out of driveway is poor
4. An arm on a patio chair was broken when we arrived
clean & close to beach & shops
We were happy with the service of VRBO and our questions prior to our stay were quickly answered by the renter. Our small house was clean, and did have plenty of room for the 3 of us. I missed the description that the property was a duplex, so we had neighbors, but had no issues. The bathroom is a little cramped but does have a small washer & dyer which was a plus. Very close to Narragansett town beach, shops & restaurants so that was a huge plus.
Sightseeing and Rhode trips
Narragansett, RI is a beautiful area on the ocean. The shore consists of beaches and some rocky areas. This rental unit worked out fine for my wife and I and our two college aged sons. Our unit was essentially one-half of a ranch house and included 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. Multiple rental units have their own semi-private area (deck and backyard space) and a large shared space where kids/adults can play games. Site is surrounded by trees, desirable location, close to the beach, large grocery store and other businesses. Rental units are close to many beaches in the area and Newport. Our group was "on the go", Rhode trips vs. spending a lot of time on the beach, we visited Newport, Providence, Boston and Cape Cod just a short drive away. Kitchen and living room area is a shared space, no dining room table. Kitchen has been recently remodeled, three bedrooms and bathroom are older but served our needs. If you plan to make a few of your own meals, consider bringing some basic cooking oils, seasonings and supplies. If you rent be sure to pay extra for linens, we overlooked this point, we have rented many different places in the past and linens were included, Sandra was responsive and helpful. If you like to buy fresh seafood and prepare it yourself, check out the fish market in Galilee. We definitely plan to visit Rhode Island again.
I'm so happy you enjoy your stay at our beautiful Narragansett, we hope to see you next year.
Clean, nice, townhouse in a good location. Well supplied kitchen and great outdoor patio and shower
Really enjoyed my stay. Great location. Close to beach and other attractions. Very clean and nicely furnished but I didn't know that sheets and towels are not provided. That should be stated on the website. That said, when I called Sandra to inquire about the sheets and towels, both were provided promptly for an extra $100 for the week. The bedroom I stayed in had a nice bed and dresser, but no bedside table: I like a bedside table for a glass of water, reading material, a cellphone or a reading lamp. There was a clip on lamp on the bed's headboard. The other two bedrooms did have bedside tables. The kitchen was very well supplied. The ice maker and filtered water on the refrigerator were not working, but there was an ice cube tray to make ice. Be careful with the toaster, it will burn your toast if you don't watch it. The outdoor shower was fabulous. Its nice to have 2 showers when there are 5 people.
My first impression was bad. There was a puddle at the the whole entrance leaving little space to pass.
As soon as I got to the place, I called Sandra because I was not sure which house was the right one. She told me the house number (there was A and B). She said door on the left.
There were bags with linens all over the living room, someone's water bottle on the counter, a bucket and cleaning products on the floor. I unpacked all the stuff that had to go in the fridge, washed kitchen counters and, after 30 minutes, she arrived. She talked to me, took some stuff out of there, and went outside. She came back and said that house did not have cable ready (I guess she sent us to the wrong one). She told us to move to the other one. I packed everything back and we moved. She and her son helped us.
The backyard on the second house was very very little and I did not like the house overall. The picture of a big grass field and a beautiful tree was not part of the house (the 1st or the 2nd) like I thought. It was crossing a little street in front of the house, and there were about 30 people having a bbq there when I arrived.
I called and complained about the house (THIS HOUSE DID NOT HAVE CABLE/ WIFI EITHER), she said I could move back to the other one if I wanted (there was a little backyard there, better than the 2nd house) and she would have the cable ready next day (what was Sunday, and it did not happen).
I said we would not be home in the morning and would move in the afternoon. She said the house we were was rented already and we needed to leave by 3pm, what was fine. At 9am she knocked at the door and told us to move. I said we would move at 1pm, she said we had to move right away. We had to pack everything quick (hot dishes out of the dishwasher) to move again.
We had company just one day. And that day we had a woman installing cable in the middle of the house and 2 men putting new ACs on.
-> One AC had a mouse nest in it (and the other window of the same bedroom had a birds nest inside the screen). The other AC had black mold.
->The toaster smoked the house.
->In the room where the kids were staying there was a big mirror without a frame just sitting on the floor standing up.
-> Spiderwebs all over the entrance.
->Grass was high.
->The bathroom did not have a cover to the light switch.
-> I called them twice, they did not return my call. Disrespectful.
The house was not ready for renting and it is overpriced!!
