Tired accommodation, poorly managed
The accommodation lacked any love, care or attention. It was in desperate need of redecoration with marks on walls and in need of countless repairs (broken floor tiles, chips, marks, broken lights hanging off the wall, broken shower heads, insecure pool gate, decking not stained etc). The property was not clean and despite raising the issue and having a 'deep clean' done during the stay was no different - thick of dust in places, smelly toilet in main bedroom, weeds in yard off kitchen, overgrown ivy in pool, dirty pool water etc. The wind in this location is fierce and the seals on windows and doors were wholly inadequate, causing huge drafts and whistling noises keeping us awake at night and meaning the 3rd bedroom we required for our child couldn't be used some nights as it was too cold. The underfloor heating didn't work, and despite being given a gas heater this made just a small difference and could only be used when our child wasn't around for safety concerns. We tried to address these issues during our stay through our check-in person, but got completely fobbed off. We had to complain and had a visit from the owner who admitted it was well below standard. Nox did agree a substantial reduction on what we paid, but this was a once in a lifetime honeymoon spoilt by the property that no size of refund could replace. I would strongly urge you only to stay here if it has been comprehensively modernised and improved.
