We had a lovely quiet break in this 4 weperson little studio.Upstairs were 2 bedrooms. And a simple steep enough staircase gets one there. There is no toilet upstairs,so not handy for little children or old people.
We were welcomed by the friendly owner and she explained how to work the oil boiler etc.
There was a smell of the oil boiler in the living room.So the door of utility had to be closed all the time.
The utensils in the kitchen was a bit sparse. No bowl for a salad for example.Or containers, apart from a few take away containers.Overal the place was in a quiet location but the interior was very plain.Furniture didn't match, was old.It was not cozy but functional.
We were delighted to find the cottage was Tardis-like in being so well designed and spacious inside.
It is really good value, and walking distance to a great pub.
The Renvyle peninsula is just beautiful with glorious beaches looking out to mountains, islands and surf.
Fab stay.
The little cottage is very nice and it is very well equipped.
We enjoyed our stay very much, especially having breakfast outside in the sun at the picnic table.
Kenneth was very kind and a big help for every need.
Excellent , comfortable & well equipped accommodation in Tullycross. All of Connemara (& further afield) on the doorstep. Stunning scenery all around. Hosts on hand if needed but your privacy is respected at all times. Coynes pub/restaurant a 15 minute walk away which serves delicious food/shellfish, friendly staff & Guinness. Walk home in tranquil moonlight. Visit Clifden, Kylemore Abbey, Derrigimlagh, Sky Road Loop, Connemara Loop. Highly recommend.
We stayed here for a week in August 2022 having booked very late. The chalet accommodated 4 of us without feeling overcrowded. It provided everything we needed for our holiday. It was a bit bare with all soft furnishings removed for Covid reasons. A few pictures on the walls would give it a bit of character. We only found out about seating area above the house on our last night which was a pity. The location is perfect with a nice walk to Tullycross village on a quiet road. We would really recommend this chalet for someone looking for a base for an activity based stay. Thanks Kenneth and Shiela
Stayed in the Chalet in aug 21. Spotlessly clean. Comfy beds and couch. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. There was milk, water and tea and coffee left for us. Thanks Sheila. Peaceful location, great views from main bedroom over mountains. Beautiful beaches nearby. I would highly recommend this accommodation. Lots to do locally and we got great weather, which was a bonus .
We spend 5 nights there, a great spot! National Park just 5mins away, all shops and restaurants to. Owners are fantastic and the house itself has all you need. We really enjoyed our time there, and our dogs even more :) Highly recommend!
The house is on the outskirts of Tullycross, but not too far to walk to the pub for a drink of an eveningmeal. A few minutes in the car and you find lovely beaches or impressing mountain scenery. The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful. The cottage contains everything you need for a nice stay: kitchen, tv, central heating and a comfortable shower. We had a most pleasant time here.
