Ces superbes appartements modernes sont bien aménagés et meublés dans un style haut de gamme avec chauffage au sol. Il y a 4 appartements au total, 3 appartements disposent de 2 chambres doubles (avec de très grands lits doubles) pouvant accueillir 4 personnes et 1 appartement de 3 chambres doubles pouvant accueillir 6 personnes. Chaque appartement dispose d'une salle de bains avec toilettes, lavabo et douche à l'italienne (style chambre humide). Les cuisines sont entièrement équipées avec lave-vaisselle, micro-ondes, cafetière etc. Il y a un espace salle à manger / salon décloisonné avec une télévision satellite à écran plat (chaînes autrichiennes / allemandes / CNN) et un lecteur DVD. Wifi gratuit / WLAN est également disponible dans l'appartement. Chaque appartement possède sa propre terrasse extérieure avec mobilier de jardin en été. Une salle de ski et de démarrage avec porte-chaussures chauffés est disponible, il y a aussi un local à vélos si nécessaire. Un parking gratuit est disponible à l'extérieur des appartements. Les appartements sont idéalement situés à 5 minutes en voiture ou en bus gratuit de la station de télécabine principale, ce qui permet un excellent ski et est bien placé pour les restaurants, les bars et une multitude d'activités pour tous les âges, été comme hiver.
SKI: Scheffau se trouve au cœur du «SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental», le plus grand domaine skiable interconnecté d'Autriche, permettant un accès facile aux stations de ski voisines d'Ellmau, Going, Soell et Westendorf. La télécabine principale est située à environ 5 minutes en voiture ou un ski-bus gratuit s'arrête devant les portes. Il est possible de louer des skis et des chaussures à la base de la télécabine et de laisser l'équipement toute la nuit moyennant un petit supplément.

GOLF: Les terrains de golf en Autriche sont ouverts de fin avril à novembre. Ils sont relativement plats par rapport à leur environnement montagneux et quelques jours de promenade dans les allées respirant l'air alpin vous donneront une sensation de vitalité, de fraîcheur et de santé. Il ya localement la Golfplatz «Kaisergolf» à 9 trous et la Golfplatz «Wilder Kaiser» à 27 trous (5906 mètres, Par 71).

Perfect holiday in Scheffau

We had a fantastic holiday in Scheffau. The appartment and all the facilities were great. There is a lot of things to do and Suzanne and Howard are the perfect hosts. We will certainly come back.

Beautiful apartments, close to all amenities

This is our second visit to these beautiful apartments surrounded by stunning scenery. The first time ski-ing in winter which we thoroughly enjoyed so decided to return in summer and were not disappointed. This time we stayed in the 2 bedroomed apartments on the ground floor which were very spacious and spotlessly clean. They contained everything we needed for an enjoyable stay including a TV and DVD player. We had a front terrace with patio chairs/table and parasol where we enjoyed several lunches overlooking the lovely gardens and outdoor pool, which was very welcome after a day's walk in the mountains. It is just a short 5 minute walk to the gondola station where we took advantage of the discounted 5 day lift passes which were well worth the money. Stepping out of the gondola was an amazing beach bar serving food, drinks and delicious ice-creams, a great place to chill out and watch the world go by, taking in breathtaking scenery. We were amazed with the abundance of activities for children which has a different theme at the top of the interconnecting resorts of Soll, Going and Ellmau. We enjoyed a lovely lunch one day at a revolving mountain top restaurant in Soll. We hired bikes another day, following the cycle routes into the delightful town of Scheffau and over into Ellmau. We also visited the village festival in Scheffau which is apparently held every Thursday evening in summer and sampled the local cuisine, definitely worth a visit. There is a beautiful lake not too far away which we walked round and enjoyed lunch outside a lovely restaurant overlooking the lake. Just wish we'd packed our swimming gear! We also tried the local bars and restaurants in the evening which were only a short pleasant walk away and very good value. Most of our meals we ate outside as the weather was very warm and sunny. We also visited the village bakery for our croissants for breakfast. Suzanne and Howard, the owners, made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would highly recommend these apartments in both summer and winter and will definitely be retuning.

Perfect booking, perfect accommodation, PERFECT!!!

Booking I have always been a meticulous stickler for planning and Suzanne and Howard catered for my every need from 15 months prior to the actual holiday date!!!! From the initial contact Suzanne was very quick to provide any additional information that I needed regarding accommodation options, local facilities, best airport, ski hire, restaurants and much much more!!! Reception Prior to arriving in Scheffau Suzanne had sent an information pack detailing all of the local facilities available for our arrival. Although the accommodation is typically not available to occupy until 4pm Suzanne and Howard were more than accommodating in offering to hold our baggage prior to this time. Information The information that both Suzanne and Howard provided via email (before the holiday), in the accommodation in an information pack and verbally when we arrived was perfect. It was the most comprehensive information I have ever received. Location The beautiful apartment is approximately 1km from the nearest Gondola station which also happens to be one of the most central stations in the entire ski area. There is a ski bus available which can take you to the gondola stations however we had a hire car which we used to carry the skis to the lifts and airport. Car parking was not an issue at either the accommodation or the gondola station. The only way I could describe the location of the property is ‘beautiful’. Scheffau is conveniently equidistant between Salzburg and Innsbruck. Typically the flights arrive earlier in Salzburg from Gatwick. This allowed us to arrive early and collect skis and ski passes a day early to maximise our skiing time. Property From the outset the accommodation is beautiful. It is a traditional Austrian ski lodge which looks equally warm and inviting in the sun or snow. Suzanne and Howard greeted us warmly and took us into our living room which included a fully functioning kitchen with utensils, television, DVD player and radio. We also had 3 spacious double rooms and a modern bathroom with toilet. Our first impression was that it was very homely and clean just what you need for a perfect holiday. This accommodation is perfect as are the owners Suzanne and Howard. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending this beautiful place to anyone.

Great base for family skiing holiday

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment for our 4th skiing holiday in Scheffau. The apartment was exactly as described and finished to high standard - very comfortable and the English-speaking owner was on site and very welcoming. We had all that we needed and the underfloor heating was good to dry clothes. We would definitely recommend this for 2 couples or family. Convenient for gondola - although we used the car, a bus stopped outside which gave greater flexibility for family members. 15-20 minute walk if chose to store gear at the hire shop next to gondola (but hire shops in village probably cheaper). Ski schools are very good with lessons 10am-3pm and children can be looked after at lunch time if adults want to ski further afield. The new 8-man chairlift at the centre of the resort means that queueing is not an issue. Local Spa and petrol station stock everything needed and village bakery is a real treat. Village restaurants need to be booked but good variety especially take away pizza and good value fixed price menus. Swimming in outdoor heated pool at Ellmau and taboganning/night skiing at Soll provide evening entertainment. In the summer this is also a great area for walking plus all towns have outdoor pools and there is a local golf course and lake. Drive from Munich can be slow on change over days (allow upto 3 hours for 2 hour journey to be on the safe side) but you can then access cheaper flights and car hire. Transfer from Salzburg and Innsbruck not much better and tend to be more expensive. This part of Austria is a great area for winter or summer.

Fabulous home from home apartments.

We arrived at Munich airport, collected our hire car at the airport and followed the clear instructions given by the owners of the apartments. We were greeted & settled in by the owners, who even provided us with the basic essentials to make a drink and a light breakfast before hitting the slopes. The apartments are spacious, clean, well maintained with a large fridge, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle & coffee pot. Plenty of kitchen utensils, pots etc for those who prefer to eat in. Two good sized bedrooms, lounge area with tv and dvd player and a dining table with chairs and fitted "L" shaped seating which easily accomodated 5 people. The shower room was clean, well presented, with plenty of hot water on demand. There is a welcome pack in the apartments which gave you plenty of information regarding food shopping, where to eat, ski bus timetable etc. There is a ski bus stop outside the apartments, which takes you directly to the gondola station. At the station there are facilities to hire a "ski garage" to leave your ski boots, poles and skis, which we used. We didn't experience any queues for the gondola, and as we were there at Christmas, this was a pleasant surprise. If you prefer to not get the ski bus, it is a pleasant 10 minute walk to the gondola station from the apartments. Plenty of snow, vast ski area, plenty of choice of restaurants for both on and off the slopes. We would highly recommend the apartments and this ski resort. We will definitely be booking these apartments again next year!

New Year 2103

We are a family of 5 who stayed in the Apartment for six persons on the ground floor over new year 2013. We found the pre stay information including very accurate directions from Munich airport and the offer to collect a list of provisions emailed earlier to the owner very helpful. The Apartment was excellent and very well equipped and ideal for our needs. The owners were extremely helpful and obliging and full of local knowledge on the lifts,slopes,restaurants and bars etc! We had. A great time lots of snow and will be definitely booking again next year. Thank you Suzanne and Howard!
