For context purposes, we were staying to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we were firm on our date of travel. This limited our selection of places quite a bit. We had stayed at Princessa Penasco previously several years ago, so we knew what to expect as far as the area goes.
Casago is a property Management company that manages rental property units for private owners who do not want to be involved in the rental process and they let Casago manage the reservation, communication, check in/out process and any maintenance that needs to be performed on the units.
That being said, the Casago process is very vague after you make your reservation. You need to go to the check in desk at the property to retrieve your keys and wristbands when arriving. There is little communication with you about where to go etc, only a confirmation of payment received. So it can be confusing for first timers staying at a rental condo. It is very similar to a hotel check in process.
Now for the negatives. First, the unit was an older unit, that is showing its age. There were several places with old water stains showing on the interior ceiling. The hot water in the shower was either cold or just above tepid temperature. There is a floor drain in the bathroom that started emanating sewer gas smell on the second day of our stay. Pouring a gallon of water down this drain helped a lot. And I had a ceiling light fixture fall and shatter the glass shade in the living room, while adjusting the fan.
