We spent a wonderfull week in this cottage located just in front of the beach . House is very Bright and well equipped Cherry on thé cake, all week was warm and sunny. We Hope to come back!

Magnifique maison. Spacieuse , accueillante, bien décorée et équipée. Elle était chauffée à notre arrivée, tard le soir. Tourbe pour la cheminée à notre disposition. Nous reviendrons.

Maison très spacieuse avec 6 chambres avec tout le confort nécessaire pendant les vacances (tourbe pour le feu, jouets pour les enfants, livres, guides, jeux de société, vélos, bottes pour le jardin, 3 ânes qui feront la joie des petits et grands) et évidemment une vue à couper le souffle sur le lac Corrib. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour !

We had an absolutely great holiday in one of Anne's 3 cottages in Fanore (Murrough to be precise), the one with the blue door and shutters. Our host, Mrs Pilkington, provided us with all the information needed about the house and the surroundings. The house, in perfect shape (the construction is quite recent) and very clean, was very comfortable for the four of us (it can accomodate up to 8 persons), the girls wera able to pick each their own room. We particularly enjoyed the peat fire in the main room, Anne is kindly providing you with enough peat and fire lighters to last a couple of days, and you can "refill" in peat logs at the local grocery shop, a couple of miles south on the coast road. By the way the owner of the shop is also very helpful, he advised us on a few walks to do in the area ! The region of Fanore is perfect as a base for trekking, and visiting the Aran Islads (ferry at Doolin, 15 km from the house). The Burren region is absolutely ideal for walking, and we did it by all kinds of weather : the beginning of the week was sunny and warm, then it grew a bit wet and colder... and we even had a real Atlantic storm over 24 hours ! Don't hesitate a minute if you are looking for a cosy place to stay to visit the Burren... as for our family, we would be delighted to come back, maybe for a summer holiday (icing on the cake, the only sandy beach of the coast of County Clare is just a kilometer from the house !).
