Ma place est proche des restaurants et des restaurants, de la plage, de la vie nocturne, des activités familiales et de superbes vues. Vous allez adorer ma place à cause du lit confortable. Ma place est bonne pour les couples, les aventuriers en solo, les voyageurs d'affaires et les familles (avec enfants). L'appartement est situé juste au-dessus d'un bar irlandais qui fait partie de l'histoire de Newport depuis 80 ans. Endroit amusant à visiter. Ce n'est pas trop fort donc ce ne sera pas une perturbation.

Everything was wonderful, check in and out process was easy and smooth! You can hear the bar downstairs but we stayed in a Saturday night so it was to be expected. We would absolutely stay again!

Wedding weekend

We were in Newport for a wedding. This was a perfect place to stay. It was clean, and very roomy with comfortable beds. The host was very responsive. Great time!

Don’t stay if you plan to sleep

We should have trusted the negative reviews. The bar downstairs was so so loud until the early hours of the morning. It was also incredibly overpriced for its location and being an upstairs unit (no elevator). When I reached out to the owner asking her to update her listing to be more accurate, she completely ignored me and said “I hope you enjoyed your stay!” She doesn’t care. Shop around, don’t make the same mistake we did and waste your money here.

Great property

This is a beautiful, clean property, close to many of the tourist sites. The property owner is also very responsive with any issues. The only problem with this property is that it's above a bar. I read in the comments that someone said the bar closed at midnight so I was prepared for noise until midnight. While we were there (a Thursday night) the bar didn't close until 1am. This means loud music and noise until a little after 1am. If you want to go to bed before 1 (like I did) this probably isn't a great fit because it's way too loud, if you're a night owl then you'll love it.

For the money you’re going to spend - shop around. More expensive than you realize - extra fees for cleaning, etc show up on your bill. The bar music below starts up at 10 pm and plays until at least 2 am. They can’t even spare you enough keurig coffee packets -bring your own. Maybe if you are sharing with 4 people it’s worth it. Can’t check in til 3 and the cleaning people show up at 10:30 am. Shop around.

Very Loud. Very Active Bar Downstairs.

First the positives: the location of this property is great!! It’s two blocks from cliff walk. It’s very near to shops, restaurants and other attractions. We walked everywhere! The provided parking space was convenient as parking in town can be limited. We also appreciated the host communication and availability. Unfortunately I can only give this property 2 stars overall due to the negatives. Aside from the unit not being as clean as we would have hoped, we felt EXTREMELY misled by the listing description of the bar below. In the description, the bar is framed as a “part of Newport history. Fun to visit. Not too loud so should not be a disturbance.” This would lead a potential renter to believe that they are staying above an old beloved bar in town that maybe a few people pop into for a drink but that’s about it. We thought it may even be a fun place to check out as a “piece of Newport history”. This is NOT the case!!! This bar may be 80 years old but it is very much still an ACTIVE. LOUD. JUKEBOX BLARING UNTIL 1 AM. (2am on Saturday night) DRUNK PATRONS HAVING LOUD DRUNK CONVERSATIONS OUTSIDE YOUR WINDOW. WINDOWS AND FLOORS OF THE UNIT THUMPING TO BEAT OF MUSIC. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. ALL. NIGHT. LONG. BAR. Not historic. Not quaint. NOT QUIET! 100% a disturbance. I have phone recordings laying in bed listening to how loudly the bar patrons below were singing to the jukebox at 1:55am on Saturday night. We made the best of our stay, but not getting to sleep until after 1am every night left us exhausted as we tried to enjoy all that Newport had to offer during the day. If you are a nightlife person or someone that could sleep through anything, this probably won’t affect you. If you want to get a good night’s sleep to get up early and explore during the day, I would unfortunately not recommend this rental.

Family vacation, great location, not quite a fit for us

Pros- location was excellent, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go or a short drive; parking spot is always a huge plus, didn't have to worry about leaving anytime bc we could always come back anytime and have a spot, apartment was spacious, plenty of room for our family of five to spread out, king size beds were nice; kitchen stocked with all the basics; good communication with Sharon, she was very responsive, check in/out was simple. Cons- the place could have been cleaner, probably not fault of owner, but felt like cleaning crew could have done a better job. The floors were just so dusty and a lot of hair. We had to clean the floors in all the rooms before putting our stuff out. The rest of the place was clean, might just be bc we are sensitive to dust allergies it was a little much for us. Other con for us was noise from bar downstairs on Sunday night- think thumping bass and loud kareoke until 1am. There was no noise issues on Mon or Tues night however- so probably just a concern on the weekends. Again, may be ok for some, but not a fit for our family. Summary- I would recommend this apt to others but with the known cons above. It could still be a great place for some as there are still many pros. I personally would not plan to stay here again with my family, however.

No complaints!

The apartment is clean and has a lot of space. Beds are super comfortable, check in process is easy and the location is a short walk to downtown (15 min or so). We had a fantastic time - only complaint is that you only get 1 parking spot for an apartment that is advertised to sleep 6 people (all of our cars are standard cars fitting 5 people) so another car has to go find parking. Other than that definitely recommend!

Great location, clean property, just not for light sleepers

We stayed in the property for 3 nights. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the location was great, minutes away from a lot of restaurants, shops and the stroll by the harbor. The only thing we were surprised and didn't quite like was the noise from the bar downstairs. The music and traffic noise was so loud that we can still hear it wearing earplugs, and our 11 year-old had a lot of trouble falling asleep the first night. But we did kind of got used to it and by the 3rd night she was doing a lot better. So I would not recommend it for family with young kids and light sleepers, but it is great if you enjoy night life.

The apartment was beautiful!. Great decor and truly, one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on while on vacation. Sharon was very responsive and we appreciate how flexible she was in moving our stay due to the hurricane which hit Newport on 8/22. Highly recommend!

Great place!

We only stayed for one night and wish we had had time to stay longer to take advantage of this place! It was all updated, the color scheme was super cute throughout, and the furnishings were inviting and comfortable. We did not use the kitchen, but it was stocked with appliances, equipment, and dishes—totally ready to go! The bar downstairs was a great hangout with personable bartenders and fun locals to talk with. Not super loud, so there was no issue with noise in the apartment. Sharon was responsive and accommodating in booking and communications. We would definitely stay there again!

Comfort & convenience in a great location!

Four friends reunited for a birthday weekend in Newport, and this vacation rental was the perfect home base! Super clean and comfortable, about a 20-minute walk to the heart of Thames Street and about a 30-minute walk to the bars and restaurants on Broadway. The Irish American bar beneath the rental was great too! We really appreciate our host, Sharon, for the great communication. Definitely an excellent local choice for your Newport stay!

Fantastic VRBO! Location, parking, amenities, price...This place has it all!

This location is the best price for a large comfortable rental. It is walking distance to many of Newport's attractions. Newly remodeled and beautiful. If you are looking for a two bedroom place, with a great kitchen, large bathroom and a comfortable living room, then this is your place. The rooms are above a bar, but it closes at 12:00.
