We had such a wonderful stay. It was a family holiday..grandparents parents and children and it couldnât have been better. A beautiful secure garden and a fabulous swimming pool. We ate out in the garden for every meal and used the bbq for most evening meals
We visited local markets with delicious produce We had a trip to Cabourg beach which was great for the children
The journey from Caen was so quick and easy and directions were clear and accurate
Thankyou for such a great stay!!
Beautiful country home-easy access to Caen and beaches
A group of eight family and friends were in France for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. We stayed for four nights here and it was very nice. The house is exactly as described with a full equipped kitchen and plenty of space for everyone. We had electricity problems on one day and the hosts were very responsive, having it fixed within hours. I would recommend this for anyone looking to visit the Normandy region.
Muriel is such a welcoming host. The house was lovely, great entertaining downstairs for a large group. Pool area was very private and tranquil.
The property is in a great location, we visited Caen, Festyland, Beach River Bella during our stay. All places were within 30 mins so ideal with children and great days out. All amenities are also a very short drive.
Just a great week and will stay again.
The property is huge and so well equipped! Everything a multi-generation family of 11 needed - including a childâs potty! We had fun playing ping pong in the barn during the rain and enjoyed sitting in the other barn playing games. The pool area is a lovely sheltered sun trap with plenty of sun beds (and also has seating under cover). The superb pool is heated and was pleasantly warm during a week of little sun and much rain!
Muriel was so helpful and she recommended several outings: we did them all - Chateau de Canon, the Monday market, beach at Ouistreham, the beautiful village of Beuvron-enAuge and we thoroughly enjoyed them all.
Thank you for everything
Robert, Kate and family
We have just returned from a 1 week stay (5th - 12th August) and we wish we had booked to stay longer! The property was perfect for our two families with plenty of space both indoor and outdoor to keep everybody happy. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need - 2 fridges was ideal! The bedrooms were spacious and the bathroom, shower room and toilet were all clean.
The pool was great with lots of seating around the outside including some undercover. Lots of things for the children to enjoy including a small swing/seesaw/monkey bar set as well as the undercover barn with table tennis and loads of space to run around and play.
The location is great as there are lots of amazing places to visit within a 30 minute drive including some fantastic markets and beaches. The only slight downside is that there isn't anything walkable nearby such as bakery, however we knew this when booking.
Priscilla was very welcoming and informative. We wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future.
We really enjoyed our stay, the house was well laid out and ample for our needs. Bedrooms were big and beds as expected. The open plan kitchen/lounge/diner was lovely and had just the right amount of furniture in it. We didn't use the lounge end much because the weather was dry and warm during our stay, the outside spaces were fab and where we spent our evenings. We moved the BBQ pool side when we had dinner by the pool and back when we had dinner in the court yard. We BBQs most nights. There was BBQ at property (bring some tongs, we couldn't find any but had bought our own just in case).
The pool are was lovely and a great spot to watch the sun go down. The pool was a little cooler than we expected but this didn't stop the kids enjoying it most days!
We found the communication with host brilliant, and the lovely girl who met us on arrival was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions and showing us around.
I'd love to stay again! â€ïž
Charming and historic building. The lawn is well maintained and a table tennis table also provides an opportunity for recreation. The pool was big enough to have a cool dip, but the area around was neglected with worn furniture and wilted flowers. âšOverall, all outdoor areas were unsuitable and tables and chairs for outdoor use were missing. âšInside, the house is spacious, but below standard with unfinished solutions and inappropriate furnishings. âšThe house's glasses, crockery and plates were dirty on arrival. Only after a thorough cleaning of the dishwasher, as well as the addition of salt and rinse aid, did the house's crockery become clean.
The bedroom on the ground floor was immediately next to the house's laundry room, and the smell of dampness was so bad that it was not possible to sleep in this room. âšThe double bed on the first floor was worn. âšThe level of cleaning was unsatisfactory and we had to invest an afternoon in removing cobwebs, dust and dirt from both the ground floor and the first floor. We were in constant dialogue with the landlord about errors and deficiencies, and the landlord responded quickly. For example, a faulty electric kettle was replaced the same day, and the landlord offered help with cleaning. âšThe tenant and landlord are currently in dialogue about compensation, but have not come to an solution.
Het zwembad is zeker een meerwaarde voor de kinderen. Mooie omgeving met leuke kastelen die je kan bezoeken, een kinderboerderij, de zeeâŠ..
