Ceci est une mise à jour magnifiquement décoré chalet sur le lac Michigan. Ouvrez le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine où votre famille et vos amis peuvent passer du temps ensemble.

Situé dans un cadre de campagne tranquille avec le lac Michigan à l'arrière et les terres agricoles à l'est. Ce chalet est situé sur un beau grand terrain avec beaucoup de pelouse, de fleurs sauvages et d’arbres. Traversez un ravin naturel en empruntant un pont piétonnier en bois et admirez une vue imprenable sur le lac Michigan. L'escalier bien construit avec 70 marches menant à la plage comprend une grande terrasse d'observation à mi-chemin. C'est un magnifique chalet pour profiter des couchers de soleil, se baigner dans un bon livre ou explorer tout ce que notre région a à offrir

Lodging for Family Wedding

Great home for some family to stay at during our wedding in the area. The beach is only steps away. The bedrooms are spacious. Everyone was happy.

The House is named Good Times and that is what it was. The house and property are beautiful. Make sure you bring good shoes to walk to the beach!

Beautiful house and beach with great nearby attractions

My extended family had an excellent stay at this house. The stairway to the beach is quite long, but worth it: beautiful sandy beach that we enjoyed multiple times per day. The house was immaculate and just like the pictures. I didn't love how we had to launder the towels, but it did save us from having to bring our own beach towels. Aside from the adjoining houses, the area feels quite secluded, but 15 minutes away is the town of Montague with a great supermarket, restaurants (cute old-fashioned soda fountain!), shops and nature trails. We also enjoyed the Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo (18-ish minutes away) and the Little Sable Point Lighthouse (30 minutes away).

Summer vacation

The house was nice, but the 78 stairs down to the beach was hard. It is not handicapped accessible. You could hardly see the lake from the house. And the beach area was great except for the rule of how much you were allowed to use. The property is close enough to the dunes and Michigan adventures for day trips. My son in law really liked the black stone grill. All in all, we had a good time

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. The rules for the house were a bit excessive but I would assume that is how they kept everything so nice. I would suggest they provide a basic first aid kit. There were bandaids but nothing for a serious emergency or even something to remove a basic splinter from the bark walkway. Not a criticism, but other suggestion that is not necessary but would make your place even more awesome would be some outdoor games. Maybe a horseshoe pit or badminton set for older kids. Over all I would recommend this rental as top notch.

The house was wonderful but the best part was definitely the beach! It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Even with 60 degree water, we had a blast!

Very cozy

The walk to the beach area was beautiful. The neighbors were close by but we didn't have any issues the trees sperating the area gave lots of privacy. Very nice place!

Nice beach vacation

My family enjoyed our vacation here. The beach house is located about 15 minutes out of town down quiet, country roads (paved, although there are dirt roads nearby). The house is equipped with everything we needed for our week long stay. The water cannot be seen from the house, but a short trail leads you to a bridge where the beach can be seen. The two houses that adjoin the property had friendly people staying in them as well, although we rarely saw them, except at beach occasionally. A few tips: -there's woodchips on the path to get to the bridge which hurt to walk with barefeet -There's 80+ stairs (according to one of my kids), consisting of wood and metal stairs. -The water pressure is the shower is meh. Much of the water comes out the faucet and not the shower head when shower is turned on. -The grill is charcoal, not propane, alike the information given to us stated. We did have some charcoal there to start, but had to replenish. -Check the windows!!! All the windows were unlocked, as is a requirement upon leaving to leave open. The cleaning staff closes them, but doesn't lock them! -The kitchen is fully equipped with many extras (food storage containers, hot pads, few spices, serving platters, etc) -Beach was nice and sandy when we visited (end of July 2021). No need for water shoes (no rocks!). We had a great time and would stay again if we ever decided to come back to Montague!

Cute little lakehouse

We stayed at the Good Times cottage in early July… myself, my parents and my 2 kids. It was just enough space for us. The house was very clean and tidy, and had whatever we could need. We had some cooler rainy days, but played some of the games and cards that were there. For some reason, the DVD player was locked, so we couldn’t use that. The beach was nice and clean, and while the days and water were on the chillier side, my daughter and myself got in the water every day! It was very quiet, and still seemed very private despite having guests at the neighboring lake houses. One helpful tip for future visitors: Since we had to wash all the beach, kitchen and bath towels before departure, it would’ve been nice to bring maybe a single towel of our own for drying hands or dishes for the morning of. Drive to nearby Mears/Silver Lake wasn’t bad at all for Mac Woods Dune rides, and the grocery store in town in Montague had all the items we forgot. This would be best for a single family, or maybe family plus grandparents. Lastly, I enjoyed the several deer visits to the apple tree and beautiful sunsets! Thanks for a great little getaway.

We enjoyed the home and the fully equipped kitchen-we arrive to a nice bottle of red and farm fresh eggs! So thoughtful, merci! It was just a short walk to the beach, which was lovely and convenient. In addition, when we had a question it was answered promptly. Thank you kindly.

Pleasant weekend near Lake Michigan

The only thing that would make this property better would be better access to the beach. My sister and I (both over 75) could not handle the number of steps to the beach. But,,,we knew this ahead of time and still enjoyed our stay. Loved the deck.

Wonderful place!

We had a wonderful stay in Michigan! The house was beautiful: clean, organized, and had everything we needed (and more!) to make our trip comfortable. The deck, yard, and fire pit area were the perfect additions to the house and we loved being steps away from the beautiful beach! It was a perfect place for our family (2 adults and 3 young boys); everyone had a wonderful time and the weather did not disappoint!

Great Stay

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The furnishings, dishes, pots and pans, etc. were all very nice quality, and the view was great. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Cottage and Grounds

Fantastic location! Great communication with Rhonda. Cottage is as described. Loved the deck and firepit. Also saw a Red-headed woodpecker- BONUS!! The one issue we had was that my 83-year old mother could not get down the 80 or so steps to the lake. Thanks for a great stay.

Great stay!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at the "Good Times" cottage. The property is super clean and well maintained, with everything you need right at your fingertips. Perfect size for us, and the location is wonderful - not only do you have Lake Michigan right outside your door (beach was large enough for our family, even with the high water levels), but it is also conveniently located near larger beaches in Whitehall/Montague and Silver Lake. Lots of other activities nearby too - biking, kayaking/tubing, and dune rides to name a few. We will definitely return!
