Escape to tranquility just 25 minutes from downtown Austin. This spacious retreat offers a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area for six, and a cozy living room with convertible couches. The private patio and yard are perfect for grilling and enjoying nature. The lofted primary bedroom features a king-size bed, luxury linens, and a deck for sunrise views. Modern amenities include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and heating. Book now for a memorable getaway where every day feels like a vacation.
**Construction next door** Our neighbors are building a new house, while this is not visible when you are inside the property as you drive in you will see it. We have not found this to be disturbing to our guests as they only work a few hours a day during daylight hours, and the construction is not active every day.

**Please note this property is in a rural area of West Austin. We have a fenced yard and do organic pollinator and pet friendly pest control on a regular basis but it is still a habitat for many critters who are part of the natural ecosystem. Some of these will delight you like the deer, armadillos, fireflies and butterflies, but there are also creepy creatures such as spiders, palmetto bugs (most people think they are cockroaches but they are not), mosquitoes and centipedes that we do not enjoy. These critters sometimes get inside as you go in and out. If bugs and nature bother you we recommend you do not rent this property**
If you choose to rent our property you agree that you have read the complete description and rules and agree to all. Guests will have full access to the house and private fenced yard. The Cuernavaca area is a charming area located in Westlake in Austin, Texas. Known for its serene atmosphere and its proximity to beautiful Lake Austin but also conveniently located near the amenities of the city. It is located north of Bee Caves and bordered by Lake Austin. Homes are very diverse, from older tear down type houses to brand new modern construction. It’s a very eclectic area. 9 miles west of DT Austin and about 30 minutes to the airport. The Lake park on Edgewater is one of the biggest draws of the area. There are a lot of community event’s like bands in the park, 4th of July parade and party and a swim team. There are lake front beaches, a pier, and sand volleyball court. You will often see people riding their golf carts to the part. There are also two great restaurants in the community, Patrizi’s and The Civil goat, a coffee shop that actually has a goat running around. Both have great outdoor patios that patron a lot of locals.
Let us know if you have any questions Neighborhood is very walkable, there are more deer than cars, but it is rural so there are no sidewalks. Please be careful on Cuernavaca drive especially at night as cars have blind corners and the speed limit is higher. Please note you will need a vehicle or to Uber/Lyft to get into Austin cost is normally around $30 and is 23-27 mins away. Airport is approximately 30 minutes. We also have easy access to hill country with numerous breweries and vineyards.
House Rules: - Quiet night hours from 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. - No Smoking indoors or outdoors on the property. Vaping allowed outdoors. - No Parties - We welcome up to 2 dogs but cannot accommodate most other pets due to allergies, please clean up after your dogs. - Dogs (including service animals) must not be left unattended and are not allowed on the furniture.
Please Note: There are two separate units on this property, and while they don’t share any common areas (except the laundry if needed during your stay), you may occasionally see or hear other guests or the owner. The other unit also allows dogs. There is also active construction in the neighborhood (though not on our property) and while we have not had any significant noise from in there may be some equipment and noise from time to time during daylight hours.
Please be mindful that if your dog barks excessively (e.g., for longer than 5 minutes, off and on throughout the day, or during quiet hours), or there is excessive noise (eg music played so loud people can’t hold a conversation over it without yelling or loud conversations outside during quiet hours), and we receive a complaint, you will receive one warning. After that, a $500 disturbance fee will apply, and you will be required to vacate the property within 4 hours without a refund. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
