Downtown

If you are used to traffic and loud noices all day and all night, you will be okay. We are from a small quiet town, and had a hard time to sleep, there is a lot of noice. They upgraded us to this other unit, which had +1 bathroom, which was nice, but we didn' t know that this unit was only on the 3th floor and super noicy

Christmas Stay

Overall this was a great place to stay. The check in process was not great however, and I did panic that I had been duped for awhile. The contact I had did not answer so we could not check in. I had to kill time and keep trying until someone finally answered about an hour and half later. It was difficult weather conditions and we were all tired so it wasn't the best start. The place was immaculate in cleanliness and the beds were comfortable. The only glitch was the check in, other than that it was great.

Ok but not what expected

This space is big and beautiful. It’s in a convenient location but also quite close to the encampments of Pandora avenue and can make individuals feel a bit uncomfortable at night. The listing should be upfront about its amenities. This property is not accessibility-friendly. The beds are very high as is the bathtub making it difficult for those with mobility issues. The check in process instructions could be condensed to make it a easier and clearer process. We were surprised that while staying there for a week essential amenities like dish soap, toilet paper and cooking oil were either in small quantity or not available at all. It is a lovely setup in the unit and the building emphasizes security so those are nice features but over all might choose something else for any future trips.

Overall - Disappointed

Sadly we were not informed that our 2-week stay was during major road construction. Mon-Fri from about 7:30am to 3:30pm the jackhammers and industrial vacuum ran almost non-stop. As a travel professional it is required that our clients be advised about the intrusion of this type of activity. The roadwork is expected to be ongoing into the spring according to the foreman onsite and all tenants of the building were made aware, yet we were not. The Host was unsympathetic to the point of rudeness. The unit we originally booked overlooked a parking lot and we requested and were relocated to an adjacent suite on arrival; both would have been impacted as the whole building shook with the construction. The photos of the unit showed what appeared to be a large balcony with city view and a BBQ; these were actually pictures from the rooftop and both BBQs up there were not in working order. In addition, the neighbourhood has suffered as many large cities have with addiction issues in plain view-2 young persons were smoking crack right across the street from the entry to the condo building. The high security in the building is necessary with the decline in the area. The unit itself is attractive but is missing some important basics if you plan to do meal prep - like a frying pan and a working can opener. Perhaps the most intrusive incident, resulting from poor communication among the property management, is when someone entered the unit while we were sitting having a morning coffee rattling us and our small dog. Given the neighbourhood, this was disturbing. Would not recommend this Host. I have 20 years experience in Tour Management and have an issue in how this property is managed. One of the Host team promised to take our concerns to the management and get back to us but no reply has been received in 10 days despite promises to do so.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Victoria

Stayed 5 nights visiting our two daughters in the area. The property was clean and as advertised. Comfortable beds. Great location, very accessible to downtown and major driving routes.

Unlikely to stay again

Location was good and suite itself was nice but for a high end suite some things are lacking. Area rug was dirty and there were hairs in bedding. Furnishings are old and very uncomfortable, kitchen is not equipped very well, old rusting frying pan and old knives etc. There was nothing to clean floors with and vacuum listed as a dyson was an old garage sale bissel with no attachments not even extensions long enough to use on floor. Definitely needs upgrade

Perfectly good location and suite

This is a good short term stay in a good location. Be sure to check the suite you are signing up for. The picture you first click is not necessarily the suite you get. As a novice VBROer, it could be that I was not as savvy as required on the website. Nonetheless, something to pay attend to. There are a surprising number of extra items in closets (mismatched linens etc) and cupboards (old plastics). The suite could simply use a good edit.

Unit is nice but. The view is a rooftop Peking lot though. Over all a good place to stay about a 5 min walk to China town.

Girls Getaway

The condo was great! Beds were very nice and the set up worked very well. The kitchen was well equipped even though we really didn’t use much (ate out mostly)! The location was easy enough for walking around downtown, so our car stayed parked most of the time! The only issues we had was a little trouble using the key fab’s. They were a little sensitive and took some time getting use to. The first night as we entered the parking garage we had trouble getting the second garage door to open! Maybe it was us (I left an email for someone to give me some tips but no one got back to us)...we made it work. The views are limited to a parking garage and the side and top of a building but we did have access to the patio on the top so that was nice. Overall...it worked great for us!

Check in process was somewhat confusing. Communications through Canada Stays was difficult. Good location downtown, very walkable. Very clean and modern with great views. Well equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer were appreciated. Fair amount of noise from street and birds. No shampoo or body wash in bathroom, only one tiny bar of soap for three people. Harsh sign in bathroom warning we would be charged for towels if there was makeup on them, but only three face wipes provided. However, overall a nice place with great parking.

Excellent Place to Stay, Difficult to Enter Property

We enjoyed our stay here very much. All amenities were provided, and the rooftop grilling area was very nice. My only complaint was the difficulty created by the many security measures. The key fobs used to get into the garage, use the elevator, etc. were difficult to use.

Nice place in downtown

Clean and modern in high rise building. Great walk-to-everything location. Nice restaurants very close. Access to building and garage was a bit confusing. Kitchen was modern and well equipped. Washer/ dryer appreciated. Garage was well lit and convenient. Bathroom was nice but sign on wall saying we would be charged if we got makeup on the towels was harsh. No shampoo was provided at all, one hotel size bar of soap and three facial wipes for makeup were very inadequate ( or non- existent) for two night stay for three people. Street noise at night. Had to take trash to stinky garbage room in basement.

Great Location!

Well located near everything in downtown! Right across the street from a lovely breakfast spot, and directly above a coffee shop! Flat is spacious and full of light. Both beds were extremely comfortable. I would stay here again.
