The condo is 15 minutes away from downtown San Ignacio (5 minutes by car). The property is located in a safe and peaceful environment. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable. The space is adorned by comfortable couches and a hammock on the breezy, spacious veranda. We have an array of board games and coffee available at your convenience. In the neighborhood, small local bodegas are only 30 seconds away on foot, and mom-and-pop Belizean restaurants are just down the road.

Pros- clean and very comfortable bedCons- no microwave, dogs barking at night cat fights at night and if you have any bigger than a compact vehicle it will not fit through the gait to park it on the property.

Very Comfortable

The rental was exactly as described. AC worked great when we used it, had all the amenities we needed, was about a 10 minute walk from downtown and the neighborhood was very safe. We would stay here again

Local living

We arrived at the vrbo and realized we didn't have the entry code. I used whatsap to contact the host and she immediately called me with the entry code. The unit is plenty spacious. We had four adults fit comfortably. This is within walking distance of everything in San Ignacio. It is a great place to stay and the neighbors are friendly too!

Clean and cute, but. . .

The flat was clean and cute, but not close to downtown unless young and fit. The neighborhood was good, but dogs barking all night made it difficult to sleep. There was also a party at the house next door that woke us up one night. No insulation in walls like we have in USA so we heard everything. The walls in some of the rooms didn't go to the ceiling, so privacy is not the best. Also, how can you furnish towels without washcloths in the bathrooms? They said they were out of stock!

Comfy but not perfect

We had a nice short stay. Place is close to town - walkable but dont attempt it midday - can be really hot. We had a couple of issues - fridge was very noisy - fan had to be replaced in the freezer. No hot water in the showers. It felt like the place was not checked before renting.. Samantha and Natasha were quick to respond and fix amost issues.

A great place to stay in San Ignacio

Cozy Flat was perfect for us! Samantha and Natasha were amazing! When we arrived, we couldn’t get the bedroom AC to turn on. They addressed it right away. In record time they had it fixed, less than two hours from we messaged them about it. The place was very clean and had excellent eating spots close by. It’s about a fifteen walk or short cab ride to downtown which was fine for us as we liked staying just outside of the town centre. We’d stay there again.

Cozy Flat

To start the location was pretty good. It was only about a 10-15 min walk into town. There are also taxis available, but we opted to walk to and from town. It is a bit hilly, but it worked for us. Communication with host was easy, very responsive. Needed some new batteries for the a/c, but once we had those the two a/cs did a good job of keeping the place cool. The fridge was very loud. The bathrooms were not great. They didn't feel very clean and comfortable. In the master bathroom the shower head wasn't on just right and it was spray out one of the sides. The water did not get hot for us and when all you want at the end of a hot humid day is to clean off with a nice shower it was a little disappointing.

A bit disappointed

Most importantly, the ad did't mention that it was an upstairs unit. It is NOT SUITABLE for elderly people who use a cane or with poor eyesite. Many of the cement stairs did't have any railings and there is exposed rebar you have be be careful not to trip on on the bottom step. The railings they do have get too hot to touch so...useless. (Could paint them white maybe?).Besides that, for 90 US per night, it is clean enough but only mostly "functional". The small bed has a very worn out and uneven mattress, the old fridge is VERY noisy and doesnt get cold enough to freeze anything. Never did freeze the water in the icetray. There isn't a toaster or even a frying pan, or instructions on how to get the TV to work. The old man and his son rented a place for themselves in the center. I stayed here. But that's me, I don't care about luxury. The King bed is super nice and can escape the noise of the fridge back there. The women seemed nice enough. So I was good.

We have been in the tourism industry for several years and love meeting new people, so we decided to venture into the world of hosting guests. We love to travel and knows how important the little details are in ensuring a trip goes well. Due to this, we try to assist our guests in any way we can and offer any advice that they need regarding traveling to Belize.

The property has a lovely terrace that has cool breeze and is an ideal location to relax and read a book. It also has large windows that bring a lot of light into the living room.
