quiet and quaint

stay was perfect. Had a small issue with the smoke detector early on which was handled immediately. The space is small, but adequate if you're alone. Would stay again for sure.

Perfect place for my needs. I brought my fiance'e with no issues. Plenty of room for two. No complaints about the stay. Booking was easy. The bed was so comfortable! The location was perfect. Close to beaches, freeways, and shops. No complaints. Thank you!

Great central location by LAX in El Segundo town. Not so much a beach feel as it is a downtown and neighborhood community. Airport noise took a day to get used to but no issues, and kind of liked it. The host even helped out when a fan wasn’t working. It’s common in LA to have no A/C but still be good, and also separately it’s easy access street parking. There’s parks and a school nearby so lots of kids on foot. Also many dining options walkable by and I enjoyed the options. Pictures were as unit was, and clear directions on access given in advance. I’d stay again for that price. Overall great.

Central location close to LA, beaches, airport

Good amount of parking, but the hill is steep. Shower is hot and strong. Toilet is LED-lighted and heated. Refrigerator is classic but cold and holds a few items. No TV but has connection for laptop with monitor that pivots and a riser desk. King-size bed that is comfortable and with plenty of pillows and blankets. Plenty of hangers and space in the closet. The courtyard is clean with table and 2 chairs and a hammock, and it is nice to sit outside. High school is nearby with an occasional game happening but is not too late or loud. Microwave is small but works great. Not a lot of space indoors to eat other than the desk and small side table by the bed. Ate at the table outdoors in the courtyard. There's a fan and small space heater. Owner very responsive. Perfect for 1 or 2 really close people. Overall good experience.

Exactly What You Need

Stayed here while visiting the area as a volunteer for the US Open. I had booked a major hotel in downtown LA and a local checking availability in El Segundo (about 20-25 min drive to LACC). I saw this property, it was half the cost of my hotel, I was somewhat skeptical, I took a leap, canceled the hotel and booked. Couldn’t have worked out any better. The first plus, the property is 10 min from the airport, maybe less. Second plus, I rented a car, plenty of parking. Third, the area is very chill…humble, working-class, family-friendly, neighborhood. Unfortunately I was working most of my stay, so I only experienced a limited time in downtown El Segundo, walking distance, 2 min drive…what I did see was quaint and charming. In a good way. As for the property itself, it is located on the lower level of a multi-unit home, the entrance is hidden from plain view, located in the back side, accompanying a yard/garden gazebo space. Some could find this awkward..actually didn’t bother me, thought it was a good thing, added to the sense of privacy. The room is very small, hard to determine from the pics. The king bed takes up most of the space, not a lot problem and it is comfortable. The bathroom small but plenty functional, the shower is very good, plenty room, good temp control and strong pressure. No kitchen; there is a fridge and microwave and both work well. The biggest plus is that the property owner (Julia) was great; very responsive and helpful! Not luxury, No complaints!

For a place in Los Angeles area it was affordable, clean, in cute neighborhood and perfect for my needs. Julie was an amazing host, she even reminded me to move my car before the restricted time. I highly recommend this home away from home. Thank you Julie!

Great alternative to a hotel in a cute, safe neighborhood. I found it met all of my needs for a 4-night stay. Will stay again if it is available for my next trip!

Everything you need

I can't say enough good things about this place. She lives in a safe quiet area, which I appreciated since I brought my personal car. I would describe it as a family oriented area. Never had issues with parking. Check in was smooth and organized. Even though it is attached to the main house, I felt like I had complete privacy. The room is small, but she is very thoughtful with all the amenities she provides. The bed is king sized with quality linen. She also happens to live probably less than a five minute drive from the airport and a two minute drive from the library. She lives within 10 minutes probably from at least a minimum of six grocery stores too. Great communication throughout my stay, she is professional and organized. I stayed here for three weeks for a travel nurse assignment and would stay there again.
