Bright updated 1 bedroom (King size bed) - with sitting area, 1 Bath, hallway bunk beds, and Queen sleeper sofa. Updated casual coastal décor, fully equipped kitchen, full size washer/dryer. Ground floor unit steps from the beach and easy access to the pool, spa and clubhouse. Choice of two public beach access just steps from the patio door.

Caribbean Dunes is a small family friendly low-density complex. Community amenities include heated pool, hot tub, grilling area and walking distance to shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Also, nearby is Destin Commons shopping/dining, Huntington Beach State Park, and the Big Kahuna Water Park.

The good…and the bad

The Good: The unit is remodeled and very nice. It looks just like the pics. The location is good and only a short walk to the beach. Camille’s is a nice place for food and coffee. The only problem for us, and it was pretty big, was the noise. Each night I could hear every footstep above us. It felt like the tenants above were stomping and moving furniture. We stayed 3 nights and by the 3rd night I had become pretty frustrated with the situation. I contacted the owner and was advised to call the local police. Even with sound machines and box fans on we could still hear the noise. It was just a bad situation for our family and I didn’t like being put into a situation like that and didn’t get much support from the owner.

Great!

The rental was very clean (which I appreciate!), quiet, and perfect size for our stay. It is an easy walk to the beach (though we often drove the short distance to the state park where there were less crowds). The pool is also very nice. We appreciated the beach chairs and cooler available for use. We would definitely stay here again!

Happy 8 Year Old Birthday Girl

Besides having a problem with the lock code when we arrived and the first time we stepped away everything was absolutely perfect. The recently made renovations to the condo were so nice. It was great to come back each time from the beach to a very nice place. We traveled with our 3 kids and they enjoyed the bunk beds. Sofa in living room turns into a bed but we didn’t used it as the little guy decided he wanted to stay with mom and dad instead. The AC worked great and was perfect each time we came from outdoors. The ice trays had ice already made which made it perfect when we arrived with groceries. Kitchen came equipped with everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch & dinner. Having a washer & dryer inside the unit was wonderful. We have stayed in other places near the area but only had laundry options near the complex and never inside the unit. Huge help for us during our stay so we didn’t have to go home with dirty laundry. A small bag with the basics was provided, paper towels, detergent, dish scrub, tissue, hand sanitizer, etc. all this helped so much. The part we liked the best especially having kids with us was the wagon, umbrellas & chairs provided for our use. OMG, when I say this saved us I mean it. We normally have to haul all this ourselves if we decide to bring it with us on the plane. In this case, I read they had this here and I was shocked to see they in fact did have it. Helped so much! Overall a great stay with my family! Thank you Lawrence & Family!

We wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Beautiful condo, beautiful beach & close to pretty much everything!

The description and pictures are on point, but can’t show how comfortable it is until you get there. They provide everything you need for the beach or a stay in if it’s raining. Communication was more than expected, which we greatly appreciated. Just steps from the beach and Camille’s! Sleep on a very comfortable bed, get breakfast/lunch and hit the beach! We enjoyed our stay so much that even the waves gave red flag warnings at the beach, we knew we had a wonderful place to relax and stay in. We have stayed in Florida in many other VRBO condominiums and this is by far our very best experience. I can not recommend this place enough!! Thank you Larry and Madeline!!!

I have stayed in many units at Caribbean Dunes. This one is by far the nicest! Completely updated and allot of nice touches throughout. I really enjoyed my time there. Can't wait to come back again.

Great stay!!

This is a perfect place for someone with a small family. While located right in the heart of Destin with a very short walk to the beach, this vacation rental still maintained a nice quiet atmosphere. The private community pool was nice and clean and was never crowded! The walk to beach was very short and perfect for families with little ones! I would 100% go back to this location and highly recommend it!

Great place!

Very clean, great communication. Pictures don’t do it justice. Very close walk to beach, great location. Host was great, gave great recommendations since it was our first time visiting. We will definitely stay here again! Beautiful part of town and neighborhood. Condo was very clean and everything works well.

Fun Long Weekend

As advertised, nice location, very clean, easy access to pool and beach. Shower is awesome but it does run out of hot water quickly, so the next person in line for the shower should wait 20 minutes before showering. Beach access area is a little crowded in peak season.

The property was very clean and super close to the beach. We really enjoyed having the wagon, chairs, and umbrella available to us. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Fantastic

Everything was great and exactly like the pictures. The shower fixture is amazing. Loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. The beds were so comfortable. My kids 11 and 17 loved the bunk beds and so comfy. Not even a 4 min walk to the beach. Fantastic location!

Spring Break Vaca

Third time staying on this property, first time in this particular unit. I would say it was the cleanest out of the 3. Easy beach access and shopping near by. Contained all the essentials for our stay. I loved that it also had beach chairs, toys for the kids, umbrellas...etc. And the welcome package with laundry detergent and k-pods was a life saver. Great unit, would stay again outside of spring break. The college kids were a bit much this year.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed here during our family vacation and it was a wonderful experience. We loved the location, its proximity to the beach, restaurants, as well as shopping. The owners were responsive and check in/out was a breeze. They also provide everything you need for a fun day at the beach. Our teenagers had a blast.

Absolutely Awesome!

This property is amazing. Our check in was simple, communication with owners no issue as all, condo was simply perfect. It was clean, well stocked, location could not have been better for us, beds were comfortable, and the beach wagon was much appreciated. Would stay here again for sure and highly recommend for anyone wanting to be close to the beach and a great pool without all the noise of being located directly on 98.

Great location! Great space for family!

My husband, I, and our 3 children (7, 8, and 11mo) recently stayed, and had a great experience! The condo was spotless and had everything we needed. It was less than a five minute walk for us to the beach, kitchen had all of the supplies (dishes, tools, small appliances) necessary, the pool is steps away, and the host was prompt with communication and letting us know that we were able to check in early if we desired to. The kids loved the location and the ice cream truck that came daily in the afternoon :) We did have one issue with noisy, partying and stomping upstairs neighbors, but we know this was not an issue for the owners or their fault. We did file a noise complaint and the sheriffs put an end to it VERY quickly. We had no other issues. Would absolutely love to stay again! The neighborhood of this area on Crystal Beach was absolutely perfect for a family. Definitely recommend.
