Camelot by the Sea 0511

Loved the venue, the ocean, having the washer and dryer. Hot water seemed to be an issue. The place should have a broom, dustpan, mop, T-towels and pot holders. The view from our veranda was spectacular and loved sitting outside, leaving the door open to hear the ocean. We would stay again for sure. I live in Nevada and I certainly got my dose of the ocean. Thank you

Great Spot

The overall condo is nice. The tower which it is located in needs a lot of updating. The biggest negative was the front desk does not hold luggage. So we were stuck with our suitcases all day. We had a late night flight, but couldn't really do anything since we had all our bags with us. I've stayed a lot of places and never had this issue.

Camelot by the Sea

We checked in 15 min early(that the earliest we could get in). There was pee on the toilet seat(they offered to come clean up) we cleaned it.Remote for front room didn't work, Ice machine in fridge didnt work, but the hotel has one so no big deal. There were 4 women, a 3yr old and an infant. Lovely condo and plenty of room fo us all. Great ocean view. I would definitely stay again as we loved it despite the small setbacks.

Great view, great parking, modern interior, walking distance to coffee and restaraunts.

This location offered an affordable stay with all the perks you expect from an hotel. The size of the rooms were fantastic for six of us and the conveniences of local coffee shop and great restaurants was perfectly balanced. The only setback was the odor of marajuana emanating from the parking garage and unit below us. While the hotel cannot control the occupant, this is something to consider. I would give the hotel a 4 star out of 5 once you get past the initial approach.

Recent Stay

Really enjoyed our recent stay. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. My only complaint would be that we had no wash clothes the entire stay, when asked we were told they are waiting for them to come in. They never came the entire duration of our stay.

Location was great room was very small for a big family of 8 hardly no seating and floors were filthy had to call and get them cleaned and fridge wouldn’t stay shut and ceiling leaked condensation in living room my kiddos loved the the pools

This property was very clean. Very friendly staff. The pools and hot tubs were well maintained. The parking was great. You could park in the garage right by your room.

Very nice place

Overall it was a very nice place to stay. Not sure why they don’t change your sheets since Cove it is over. But otherwise the place was very clean except there was sand on the floor when we first checked in. There is no Dunkin’ Donuts there anymore which was advertised. But the rooms and the private balconies were very nice. The pools and hot tubs were clean and nice chairs and loungers. Close by to a lot of restaurants and the boardwalk. So overall I gave it four stars just because of the Sandy floors when we entered and them not coming to your rooms to clean change sheets towels.

Don’t believe the poctures

Save your money and stay anywhere other than Camelot by the sea. The place was gross. Pictures make it look nice. It isn’t. This particular unit had dirty floors, dirty dishes, mold under the sink. Something pink on the walls, even though we couldn’t check in on time because they were cleaning the unit. Do yourself a favor and stay in north myrtle beach. Vacasa who runs this booking is a joke. Pools are tiny and dirty. Hot tub is gross. There is NO Dublin donuts as advertised. This part of myrtle beach is like the Wisconsin Dells at the beach.

Good time

Great location. Clean property. Smaller than expected/pictured. Parking was tight, we had no WiFi in our room and had to steal the neighbors. Also, our refrigerator kept freezing all of our food.

Mostly Okay

Pros: Best thing about this condo is location, easy walk to restaurants and boardwalk. It had a washer/dryer, beds/pillows were comfortable enough. Pictures show carpeting, but floors have been updated to tile. Cons: The building is older and could use some updating. The parking garage is a nightmare - narrow lanes and sharp turns make entering and exiting an adventure. Watch out for other drivers who zip around a corner nearly hitting you head on. It's low with a 6'7" clearance. If you have a rooftop cargo carrier on a taller vehicle you'll be parking across the street instead. There's no direct access to the beach. You either wave to meander your way through the pool area and exit through a gate, or go out the front and then around the side of the condo to get to it. As for the room - hate to nit-pick, but with the amount of money we paid to stay here, I will. It is on the 5th floor directly above the pool (which is open until 11 pm). You can listen to the loud music and screaming kids whether you want to or not. Kitchen is short on supplies: no oven mitt or hot pads, only a 1/3 dry measuring cup, one frying pan (which had a wobbly handle - as did a couple of the pots). No non-stick frying pan. "Master" bath sink faucet had no water pressure. With both taps opened fully, only a slow stream of water came out. I checked the valves under the sink, and they were both opened completely. Other faucets were ok. There's an AC vent directly above the stove that blows cold air on cooked food. The kitchen/dining area & bathrooms have dropped ceilings. If you're 5'3", you can touch it.

Very Noisy

The Master Bedroom that overlooks the beach was very noisy at night- when we tried to sleep….. people on the beac, in the pools and on adjacent balconies. If that wasn’t bad enough they we’re shooting off fire works/ fire crackers on the beach . Was looking forward to a relaxing time but that didn’t happen- sorry to say.
