Very nice little cottage in good location

  • 4 de 5

Lovely cottage and Victoria was very helpful, before and during our trip. Watch out for the low front door as i banged my head several times. Everything else was lovely.

5 star!

  • 5 de 5

What a welcome from Victoria and Fintan the dog to the most beautiful area of Wales and the snuggest holiday cottage. Nothing was too much for Victoria, the welcome hamper is a fantastic touch and a delicious bonus, yum bread and Sue’s fantastic bacon! The cottage has everything you need for your home away from home, snug even in the midst of a blizzard, and the views and walks are spectacular. The bed was as comfortable as our own! Don’t bother looking at the other properties, this is the best there is! And pay a visit to Proper Gander in Tywyn, a meal and welcome to remember, hospitality and quality meal we won’t forget.

Amazing Cottage, Beautiful Location and Great Hosts

  • 5 de 5

Best stay in Wales thus far.

The cottage has everything you need and is beautiful and dog friendly. Our Jack Russell had an amazing time on the local walks and beaches.

The hamper supplied by Victoria is delightful and the bread is "to die for".

Lots of fantastic walks and local pubs.

We could not recommend this place highly enough. We will be coming back!

Must Stay!

Perfect getaway cottage, highly recommend.

  • 5 de 5

We took a midweek break at this charming cottage lured by the thought of cozying up by a log burner and exploring the great outdoors - we were not disappointed!

The cottage is in a enviable position and provided the perfect base from which to relax and explore in equal measure. We brought along our dog Meg who had an absolute blast, in fact, she seemed sad to come home!

The property is beautifully presented and is very well equipped indeed - we did not want for anything. Victoria was the perfect host from the moment we booked, very responsive and provided lots of help and information so we could make the most of our stay. The welcome hamper was a wonderful bonus which we enjoyed very much - especially the home made bread, yummo!

Thank you very much Victoria, 5* break, we hope to make a return visit soon!

Wonderfully restored cosy cottage, fully equipped with warm welcome, dog friendly

  • 5 de 5

Four of us stayed in this wonderful cottage for a winter break and we can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. The historic cottage has been sympathetically restored and is nicely quirky, with full heating plus a wood-burner to snuggle up in front of on colder nights. The views are amazing over the Mawddach Estuary with mountains beyond. There is so much to do here, walking the Mawddach Trail down to the bridge into Barmouth with its lovely shops, Dollgellau is a delight and the beach within walking distance at Fairbourne with its little railway. There are some great pubs and restaurants and chance to explore the wider area of Snowdonia National Park from here, just check out the maps and guide books left for you. The cottage has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The beds are so comfortable with beautiful quilts, spare throws and even hot water bottles. The shower and deep bath are great and there is a really well equipped kitchen with oven and hob, microwave and fridge freezer, and all the normal stuff you would need at home in your own kitchen to save you having to bring any of this with you. There is a good supply of lovely fluffy towels and all the sundries you would need, plus washer dryer. Living room has sofas, tv and dvd player and Wi-Fi is provided. The parking is right in front of the cottage. Booking was easy and we received a very prompt reply and were sent a really detailed information pack prior to our arrival with travel instructions, useful addresses and phone numbers, things to do on our stay, places to visit and eat out and shop. Victoria greeted us on arrival and had left a welcome hamper (locally produced bread, eggs, butter and breakfast gammon) along with fresh flowers, nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is dog friendly and we took our two Jack Russell puppies. The whole place is immaculately clean and well presented, we will definitely be paying another visit in warmer weather so that we can sit out on the patio with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the water, thank-you Victoria and Sean for a lovely holiday, see you again soon!

Spot on!

  • 5 de 5

Great couple of days in Snowdonia staying in this lovely converted stone building. Original features detail this well thought out rental. The traditional welsh weather (howling winds and driving rain) arrived as expected but we were tucked up with our nice cosy log burner. The place worked really well for our family of 4 (kids 10 & 6) although families with older children may find having just 1 bathroom slightly restricting. Great spot for walking. We went up Cader Idris which is the nearest high peak with fabulous views across the park.great welcome hamper with local produce and a warm and friendly welcome from the owner. All in all highly recommended.
