Beau, spacieux appartement 1 chambre, totalement équipé et meublé pour fournir une maison loin de la maison. Emplacement pratique avec un 3 min. marcher jusqu'à la plage, 10-15 min. Promenade au centre-ville. Chambre de style loft avec lit queen et salle de bain adjacente. Deux balcons s'ouvrent sur la chambre pour attraper la brise et une vue sur la mer du récif. Trois ventilateurs aériens, ac, téléphone, wifi, télévision par câble, cuisine entièrement équipée et buanderie avec laveuse et sécheuse. Bon espace de rangement. Deuxième salle de bain complète au niveau inférieur comprend une baignoire. Salon a un canapé / lit simple pour l'espace invité ainsi que d'un siège de fenêtre rembourré pour lire, se détendre ou un autre espace de couchage invité. Patio extérieur clos, privé a une douche pour rincer la plage et barbecue à gaz. Entrée privée, coffre-fort stationnement hors rue. Belle piscine d'eau salée, solaire dans un joli jardin clos avec poolhouse rancho confortable et élégant. La piscine est partagée avec un autre appartement 1 chambre.

Still love it!

This is our second visit to Deborah’s apartment and it was just as fabulous the second time around. The apartment is lovely, the pool is spectacular, the beach is gorgeous and only a few minutes walk away. You can walk to restaurants and supermarkets easily. There is some traffic noise which did not deter us. Would love to return.

Great vacation stay

My partner and I enjoyed our stay here. The apartment has a beautiful interior and has great access to the beach, which is where we spent most of our time. Having WingNuts Canopy Tours below is very convenient, of you are interested in zip lining through the local tropical forest. You can easily walk to town via the beach during the day and the drive to town is only a few minutes long. The apartment is spacious with a well outfitted kitchen. The only issue we had was road noise during the morning, which woke us up a couple times. I highly recommend investing in ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.

Outstanding accommodation. All imaginable amenities on site. Short walk to the beach and the pool on the property was a bonus. The owner-off site-is easily accessible. We had a water tap issue that was responded immediately. Great price point, beds, showers, laundry in the living space. ,

Beautiful, spacious apartment, our perfect Sámara base!

We booked 10 nights here in November. As luck would have it, Costa Rica and Guanacaste in particular received unusually high rainfall even for the end of rainy season, and it rained every day for us. The apartment was so nice to hang out in when we couldn’t venture out, so roomy, nicely decorated and equipped, with a couple of great spots to hang out and watch the world go by. It was super clean, had everything we needed, and the owner, Deborah, was fantastic. Everything as advertised. As some people have noted, it’s on the main road, but it’s pretty interesting to watch the traffic! Not all that noisy especially at night. Beautiful pool area shared with only one other apartment. Small store two blocks away towards the beach when you need something quickly, lots of supermarkets in Sámara proper. About a 15-20 minute walk to town along the beach. 2000 colones ($4) taxi ride back from town when you’re laden down with groceries. Situated above Wingnuts Canopy Tours, nice guys, Claudio there speaks good English and can be very helpful with travel arrangements.Howler monkeys in the forest preserve above are fun to listen to.

Samara Beach vacation

Our overall impression of the apartment was very good. Lots of space and very clean. Pool area was very nice. Deborah, the host was responsive and kind. I’ve read several of other’s reviews and they mention the noise from the street. That is true. The apartment is located on a busy street and there is a bus stop directly in front of the property. If you need to use the bus, the location would be great. The walk to the beach took about 5-10 minutes. It’s an easy walk to get downtown to shops and restaurants. We recommend the apartments and Samara for a laid back vacation!

Great Place to stay.

The apartment was located in a great spot. Easy access to beach and town. Had great views of the Howler Monkey's every day. The pool was perfect for cooling off each day. Apartment was well maintained.

Nice stay

The apartment is very spacious and has all you need for a pleasant stay, very true to the VRBO listing. The pool is an amazing oasis. As many have mentioned, the road noise is the one distracting factor to the property.

Charming Samara Accommodation

We thoroughly enjoyed our 9 days here. While it is short drive from the main part of the city, we found the location surprisingly close to the beach with a couple of restaurants we visited several times. One can easiy walk along the beach to other resaurants or pop in the car for a two -three minute drive. The apt is spacious and very attractively decorated. We enjoyed the BBQ and cooking some of our meals here. We also really enjoyed the onsite pool...it is beautiful and so refreshing! The property consists of just two units that are on the second floor of the Wing Nuts Canopy Tour building. Since there are only two units, we enjoyed a lot of privacy and the pool generally to ourselves. The tour activity in the space below was a non issue. Be aware in your planning that this property is located on the main road leading east out of Samara. There is considerable traffic noise during the day time but it significantly declines in the evening. By around 8pm it gets fairly quite and stays that way until 7 ish the next morning. The traffic noise didn't detract from our enjoyment of the property. Overall, the slight remoteness of the property turned out to be a real plus for us. For our morning walks it was easy to get to the beach or to explore some of the nearby secondary roads to get closer to the monkeys and nature. You will find the hosts, Deborah and Peter, to be very kind and responsive.

The black hole of Happiness

Everything was as advertised, the apartment is open and spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped so whether you're making a light lunch or a full meal its all there. The pool and Ranchero are amazing. Beach towels, chairs and coolers for the beach, all you need is your swimsuit!

A Perfect Home in Samara

Deborah was a wonderful host, and the property was perfect for us. The property is located near a quieter section of Playa Samara, about 10 minutes walk on the beach from the main town. There is a small village across the road, between the property and beach, with a pescaderia (great place to pick up fresh seafood to prepare back the apartment), a small convenience store, and beachfront restaurant. Even at Christmas and New Years the area is not overrun with tourists. The apartment itself is comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen (blender for fresh fruit smoothies), strong air-conditioning, comfortable furnishings, showers with good pressure and hot water, and plenty of lounging spaces. We prepared most of our meals, and the kitchen (and barbecue) were perfect for that. The property is well taken care of and was perfectly clean on our arrival. The pool is wonderful, with options throughout the day for shade or sun. There's a lime tree by the pool, from which we occasionally gathered fresh limes. Even when other guests were using the pool it felt like a private oasis. Deborah was a great host. She accommodated our early check-in request, enquired with us mid-stay to ensure that everything was well. A plumbing issue was resolved immediately. The only thing I would note is that the property is likely not suitable for persons with mobility issues, as there are exterior and interior stairs. Traffic noise was tolerable during the day, and traffic was quiet at night.

Wonderful place!

We had an amazing time!! The place is very close to the beach and plus we had the pool all to ourselves! Many excellent restaurants on the beach and in town. Amazing people and amazing places! Wonderful,

We had a great time in Mardelindo#1 Deborah was very responsive to any questions that we had and our unit was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The beach was a short walk away, town was approximately a 15-20 minute walk. As others have mentioned the traffic in front of the building can be loud at times but it usually quieted down by 9-10 pm. We would gladly return.

Samara is a slice of heaven

I have stayed at Deborah's apartment before and this time, I came with my partner and his two children (teens). We had a wonderful time and they loved the pool and wifi of course! Deborah is always helpful and her place was a perfect refuge to come back to and relax after a day at the beach. This was my second time in Samara and at the apartment, and am already planning to come back again! Thanks Deborah :)

Chez Deborah in Sámara

The property is gorgeous, generously appointed, clean, and comfortable. Deborah is fluent in both Spanish and English, and has been in Sámara for quite a long time, so she is a valuable source of information and help! I would have appreciated a little personalized map of the area, including the local tienda, fish store, pharmacies, and recommended restaurants on the beach. I highly recommend this property!

A Lot of Good Things, Two Bad Things

Pros: Big living and sleeping space, well-furnished, walk-able to beach and town, beautiful salt water pool area, easy access, good secure doors and locks, good communications with property manager, washer/dryer, good ventilation and AC, easy walk to small convenience store and fish market Cons: Really only two but they are significant. (1) Very noisy at night and early morning due to nearby street traffic (Carillo/Samara road is about 30 meters from apartment), including trucks and motorbikes. You will need earplugs and/or a sound machine, and you will need to close the windows at night and run the AC. (2) We had two tarantulas in our apartment (or maybe one tarantula twice); we swept them out the door and we understand their bite is not very serious unless you're allergic, but they were unwelcome guests. Because of this, I cannot recommend this apartment for children. This is our 4th trip to the Samara area, and we love the roosters, monkeys, free range horses, birds, lizards, and all the beautiful nature that is all around, but tarantulas inside the unit pose an acceptable risk.

Loved the monkeys and iguanas!

We spent 14 days in January 2020. Apartment had everything you needed for appliances. Pool is fantastic. Fresh fish vendor is close as is a small convenience store. Close and easy access to a beautiful beach. Loved the short walk along the beach to town. The road directly in front of the apartment can be busy so the road noise can be distracting.
