The Space:
Chalet Blanc is a new build property of modern design that offers the perfect setting for a luxury Alpine holiday. It has an impeccable finish and stunning interiors. Wrap around decks ensure that there is plenty of outdoor space for you to enjoy the views overlooking Point de Nyon, Pleney, Mont Chery and the Parc de Dereches.
The chalet is set over three spacious floors and has a fantastic deck with two dining areas, making the most of the morning and evening sunshine. The entrance level is an open plan living, dining area focused around a central log burning fire. Perfect for winter evenings after a day on the slopes. The living room has two seating areas; a large seating area facing the fire and a cosy snug area with a TV. This level is bathed in sunshine throughout that day and takes advantage of this with wrap round windows that open on to views of the surrounding mountains and forest below. Outside, there is a dining table and parasol, which are positioned to enjoy the morning sunshine, and there is a further dining table which has the perfect position for evening sunsets and alfresco dinners.
The upper level has three spacious bedrooms all with en-suites. Two bedrooms can be configured as either a twin room or super king room whilst the third has a permanent king sized bed. Each bedroom has a large en-suite shower room and one of the bedrooms also has a bath.
On the lower level of the chalet there are two bedrooms, a cinema room and a laundry room. With twinkling ceiling lights and UK Sky TV, the cinema room is perfect for relaxing and watching a movie after a day in the mountains. The bedrooms downstairs can all be set up as twin or super king and each have their own shower room en-suite. The laundry room is a welcome, practical space for families and has a washing machine and dryer available for guests to use.
A large garage offers adequate parking for self driving guests and the bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the chalet itself. The bus is free and runs in both summer and winter making this chalet a great self catered option. If you prefer, our resort driver service is available to add on to your winter holiday meaning that you can be collected and dropped off whenever you choose.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire chalet throughout their stay.
The Neighborhood:
Winter;
With a ski area of over 650km and twelve linked resorts, the Portes Du Soleil is the largest connected ski area in the world and offers an unrivaled diversity of ski terrain. Regularly voted best for families, Morzine has direct access to numerous beginner slopes as well as a multitude of red, black and itinerary runs. Avoriaz is a snowboarder’s heaven and has parks and airbags to keep the thrill seekers entertained.
Morzine lies in a sunny valley and offers direct links towards the slopes of Nyon and Les Get or Avoriaz and the Swiss border. For those looking for a challenge, the Portes Du Soleil circuit will see you cover the vast majority of this area in one day! Avoriaz is statistically the snowiest resort in France meaning that even those looking for some spring skiing will find excellent ski conditions only a high speed gondola ride from Morzine town centre.
Sprinkled across the slopes there are numerous mountain restaurants and plenty which can be accessed by non skiers too. The famous Village des Chévres is the perfect lunch spot to sit outside on a sunny deck and meet up with all skiing and non skiing members of your party.
Morzine town itself is thriving in the winter with bars, restaurants, a fitness centre and swimming pool and is a perfect blend of traditional French alpine culture and modern ski resort facilities.
The nightlife and après ski in Morzine is an ever growing scene that includes live music, DJ’s, micro breweries and an excellent selection of bars and night clubs. Whether on the slopes or in town you will find bars and music to suit all tastes and an excellent choice of live events including the famous Rock the Piste Festival.
Summer;
Morzine comes alive in summer and is a true year round resort. With picture perfect scenery and a beautiful summer climate, Morzine attracts families, walkers, road bikers, mountain bikers and a whole host of local and foreign visitors who come to enjoy all it has to offer.
With a total of 22 lifts operating in the summer, the whole mountain can be accessed by bikers and pedestrians alike. With many mountain restaurants open during the summer you can enjoy a whole day on the mountain taking in the views and nature.
Morzine town itself is a true working village and is a hive of activity during the summer months. Live music, fairs and events continue through the summer months and showcase the best of alpine traditional life as well as catering to tourist and locals alike.
Getting Around:
Chalet Blanc is within a short walking distance to the centre of Morzine, and is perfectly situated for both skiers and non skiers. We recommend adding our 24hr driver service to your stay.
