Incredible island experience

We all totally enjoyed the experience from start to finish.We didn’t have a dull moment the whole time we were there. The host covered everything with us before our trip and his tips made it easy for our adventures. The property is incredible, great views from the pool deck.

Great getaway

My wife and I took our kids there for a week. Scott was super helpful providing tips / recommendations. The pool is fantastic and the house is spacious. We had a wonderful time.

Great for Boating and Relaxing

Excellent location to get to the open water quickly. Pool was very nice. The home was well kept and representative of what you see in the pictures. I didn't notice a grill in the pictures, so it was nice to hear from Scott that there was one there. Great communication all around, too, including reco's on snorkeling locations, the closest grocery store, where to buy bait, etc. I look forward to coming back in the future.

Great Family Escape!

We just did our first multi-generation family vacation -- grandparents, daughters, partners, and grandson and it was fabulous, loaded with memories and fun. Sandpiper Villa was the perfect place for us in every way. The house layout gave everyone privacy and lots of comfy space to gather. The pool and patio is equally perfect. The house is ideally situated on the canal for sun, breezes, and beautiful vistas. We even spotted lion fish (nasty, beautiful creatures) while snorkeling off the dock! Scott was a great host, too -- prompt communications and lots of helpful local advice and contacts. We're already discussing when to return!

Awesome Property!

We had a wonderful stay at this property during the holidays! The house is completely as it appears in the pictures, if not better. It was perfectly comfortable for 2 families as there are 2 bedrooms on each side of the house. The kitchen was well-equipped and has very nice appliances. Pool is beautiful! It’s not heated, so keep that in mind depending on when you travel. Even though the pool was cold for us, it was still so nice sitting on the patio with the pool and canal view! Ileana even called to have it cleaned on a special day because she noticed it needed attention after the rain. An awesome experience, all in all!

Best vacation ever

This is a wonderful house and a very private location that’s gated resting on a gorgeous canal or you can go out on the deck and feed the fish. The pool is beyond excellent as is the inside of the house. Our property manager who became our guy for the entire week? Illeana Neely Was more than just a guy became a sister to us for life. Even on the rainy days she made it so much fun for the four of us and for that we are eternally grateful. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking at for a getaway that is extremely quiet and beautiful with all the accommodations that she would need. Everything is close by within 10 to 15 minutes as well so it is very convenient.

Fantastic Rental House

My family stayed at the property for the month of July. It was fantastic and exactly as advertised. Scott is a great host and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend, especially if you have your own boat.

This house is so beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. We had such a great time hanging by the pool and boating around the area. If this is where you want to go this house is where you want to stay!!

Awesome Estate- Best Deal in Town

My Wife and I visited the Bahama's for the purpose of looking at a property to purchase. After arriving at Sandpiper Villa, and looking at various properties for sale, sat down at the table at the end of the trip and said, "well, non of the properties that we looked at was as well laid out as this house". Scott (the owner) communicated with me prior to our trip, gave me all the information that I could ever imagine, from real estate folks, things to do, secret fishing spots, maps, charts etc. Even a person who took care of all of our special requests and secret local dinning spots. House has a very open floor plan, with all bedrooms leading to pool area. Nice turn around driveway, (oh yea, stay to the left in the Bahama's). Kitchen is gas with chef stove. Everthing in the house worked, internet, cable tv etc. Has about a 80' dock. Make prior arrangements to rent a boat if you are in to making your own waves. We found Freeport to be a large enough town to not get bored after 8 days, but small enough to be that get-a-way spot.

The property was breathtaking, views were excellent and the inside of the home was perfect!

This home was perfect inside and out! My kids loved the pool area. They even have a dock by the ocean where you can swim as well! Every morning thats what they wanted to do! The house was so spacious and fit our family perfectly! We had 6 people staying in the house and you could fit way more!! It was close to drive to the Lucaya MarketPlace and to one of the grocery stores on the island! They had everything you needed there from towels, to tons of dishes and even spices to cook!! They were so accommodating!! They made sure we had food on the first day we were there which was such a nice gesture! Also you are only 10 min away from the airport too!! I would recommend this house over and over again!! The Owner, Scott is wonderful to work with!!

Absolutely gorgeous property centrally located between Port Lucaya and Freeport

I've been an avid boater in South Florida for many years and have traveled to various islands of the Bahamas to rent property. Sandpiper Villa was by far the most beautiful, convenient, and fun! The layout is exquisite with all 4 bedroom's sliding glass doors facing the pool and dockside. There is a huge living area and kitchen which could easily accommodate a party of 8. The house is fully stocked with all of the utensils you would need to cook and grill. The infinity pool is large with a breathtaking sunset view. Dockside you'll find crystal clear water with plenty of life which makes it a great place to snorkel or cast a rod. For boaters, you'll find easy access to shore power and freshwater on the dock. The caretaker generously offered to bring us to the supermarket as we arrived by boat and didn't have a car. The owner is extremely nice and was very accommodating. He offered good diving and fishing information, easy in and out access to the home, and was helpful in pointing us to the island mechanic when we had an engine issue. The location of the home is easily accessible by boat and about a 15 minute drive from Freeport Airport. We had a ton of fun fishing right offshore and diving inland. You can also take a quick trip to Port Lucaya fantastic night life. Overall this home was one of my favorite vacation stays. I will definitely be visiting Sandpiper again!

It’s an stunning property, beautiful luxury home like new, comfortable spacious .

This is a beautiful luxury home, located in a deep clear water canal , the house is absolutely beautiful, specious , my kids had a blast in the infinity pool and in the building dive in dock, it was full of colorful fish , water very clear, it’s located a block from inlet of the canal, easy access by boat, the dock well equipped with water and electricity, the house is a few minutes from Lucaya . The owners are very friendly and helpful as well as Illiana the person that manage the property in the island. I don’t have a single complain about the house and the stay . My only recommendation to future renters is if you are coming by boat watch out the weather, it can get a little breeze and rainy . Other than that it was an A+ Stay Thank you Scott thanks to your wife for allowing us to stay in your beautiful piece of paradise .

We have been coming to Freeport, Grand Bahama since 2001 and have been renting Sandpiper Villa since 2008. We have traveled all over the Caribbean and believe no place offers as many wonderful features as Freeport. With world class deep sea fishing, bone fishing, fabulous snorkeling and scuba diving, crystal clear water with amazing varieties of fish, golf, shopping and great dining, we think the Sandpiper Villa is in paradise. It is the perfect place to create life long memories.
