Town: Upton Cross is a small Cornish village originally housing miners but now a quiet retreat set in rolling countryside on the edge of Bodmin Moor. From here there is easy access to some of Bodmin Moor’s most striking features, including the Cheesewrings, Sharp Tor and the engine houses at Minions, as well as Kitt Hill and Caradon Hill. The village has a traditional 17th century pub serving good food and a Post Office. Both coasts are within easy reach, from the crashing surf of the north coast to the clear waters and fishing villages of the south. Siblyback Lake, 6 miles away, offers angling and water sports, and there is salmon and trout fishing available on local rivers.
