Carrick Bay Apartment is a stylishly appointed single level ground floor self-catering apartment in Port St Mary, Isle of Man. Guests can experience the spectacular views stretching across Port St Mary bay all the way towards Castletown and the Langness peninsula.

The open-plan living area which extends round to the kitchen is comfortable and the large shuttered windows allow plenty of natural light in to the apartment, making it an especially pleasant area to socialise in. The apartment features two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, and two bathrooms with walk-in showers, one of which is an en-suite.

Carrick Bay Apartment is perfect for a small family or group looking to enjoy the south of the Isle of Man. From Port St Mary harbour you can enjoy a boat trip to the Calf of Man, a small island and nature reserve off the islands south westerly tip. There is also the Raad ny Foillan, the islands coastal footpath. This is just minutes from Carrick Bay Apartment's front door, perfect for your dog(s) should you wish to bring them (maximum 2 well behaved dogs).

Port St Mary itself is a great base for holiday with a good range of places to eat and drink less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment, shops and a regular bus service connecting the airport and Douglas, with 3 services an hour during peak times. For something more traditional you can hop on the Isle of Man Steam Railway from Port St Mary station and head to Castletown or Douglas.

Super apartment with great views

Great apartment with views over the bay. Excellent place for visiting the Isle's highlights. Bonus of parking at the rear, so no need to worry about parking on the road - but make sure you take the disc, provided, for parking everywhere in the island.

Comfortable Apartment with views

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Carrick Bay Apartment in mid-March. Although the weather was often bright, being March, it was still chilly outside. The apartment, however, was lovely and warm, with very adjustable heating. The showers were brilliant, and Kitchen had everything that you would need. The parking at the rear was handy for the back door, which was an added bonus. There was a handy little convenience store walking distance one way and friendly pub the other way. We would very happy to stay again.

A Wonderful Stay at Carrick Bay Apartment

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Carrick Bay Apartment on the Isle of Man and were absolutely delighted with every aspect of our visit. The standout feature has to be the spectacular view from the front room – it’s truly something special. If you're an early riser, you're in for a real treat: watching the sunrise over the bay from the comfort of the apartment is a magical experience and well worth getting up for. The apartment itself is exceptionally comfortable, thoughtfully laid out, and spotlessly clean. A real bonus is the off-street parking, which made our stay even more convenient. We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owners, who were warm, welcoming, and clearly take great pride in ensuring guests have a fantastic stay. Having stayed in a lot of self-catering accommodation over the years, I found the QR code brochure provided to be particularly helpful – it gave clear information about the property and how to use the various appliances, which made settling in quick and stress-free. All in all, Carrick Bay Apartment ticks all the boxes – great location, incredible views, modern conveniences, and genuine hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

Enjotable stay

This is a lovely property, ideal for my mum who has limited mobility, being all on one level. It was very comfortable and clean. Well equipped, everything we needed was there. Great location. shop and eateries within walking distance or within easy reach. Lovely sea views. Many thanks for the goodies, very welcoming and a lovely touch.

Really nice view of Port St. Mary harbor, close coastal footpath also to a few restaurants and a great pub. The apartment was very clean , comfortable and had plenty of space for the three of us. Delightful.

A home away from home!

As local Isle of Man residents we were looking to host some off Island friends and enjoy a little staycation. Carrick Bay Apartment is truly a home away from home, it is furnished with all the necessities you would ever require and all of the small details have been thought of. The location of the apartment is truly spectacular and made for some truly memorable sunrises over looking the bay. To be able to take our little dog with made the entire weekend that much more special. Island Escapes made the entire trip from booking, to gaining access to the apartment and even understanding how heating etc worked - a real ease. We cannot wait to book again!

Lovely Apartment

Perfect Christmas break.

We have stayed at this lovely, well equipped apartment before, but this was the first time staying over Christmas. We loved the Christmas tree and the other decorations, thank you, as well as the Manx produce left for us. You thought of everything. We hope to return soon!

Twixmas Treat in Great Comfort!

Lovely accommodation in scenic Port St Mary. Well appointed, warm and comfortable. Christmas decorations and tree were a festive bonus! Nice surprise. Very handy location for walking our 2 gentle greyhounds. Off road parking to the rear was a great benefit. Convenient for shops and eateries. Highly recommend this property.

Good condition & Nice Location

The apartment was in a good location near to the beach and good for walking my very small Yorkie. Also near to local supermarket. Facilities in the apartment were very good - kitchen, bathroom etc. and everything was in reasonable condition. I have stayed in a number of properties before booked through Island Escapes and all were very good but this is my first time trying an apartment.

Mums holiday

Lovely location Good kitchen Issues with the apt not being clean were dealt with . TV controls impossible ! But help arrived quickly Main bathroom water not hot enough and a bit damp Twin room noisy if owners were in up stairs But overall a good holiday

Beautiful stay in lovely spacious apartment with views over Port St Mary bay.

I particularly enjoyed the stunning view from the breakfast table looking out over the bay in the mornings - just beautiful! Very well appointed and clean modern kitchen. Light and airy, comfortable and warm ground floor apartment - lovely to come back and relax in after a day outdoors. Fabulous location for walks along the southern coast and around the harbour, and close to golf courses and sandy beaches. Hosts readily available for any queries - but nothing extra was needed. Allocated car parking spot enabled direct access via french doors to the master bedroom which was very convenient. The local Co op is only a short walking distance from the apartment which was also very useful.

Cracking little apartment amazing view

This is a great apartment with the added bonus of a private parking space. The lounge area may not be the most luxurious in the world and the sofa is a bit old and saggy, but what it lacks in that area it more than makes up for in the view and overall feel of the place. It is homely and you immediately feel relaxed and comfortable. To wake up and enjoy your coffee looking straight out across the harbour is a wonderful start to the day. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds super comfy and the owners are lovely. We had a small issue with the TV and they immediately came to sort it out and were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Not great.

Really noisy boiler above master bedroom made sleeping very difficult. Clearly a damp issue in the property - lots of unpleasant room scent hanging everywhere which didn't mask the nasty damp smell. Had to keep master bedroom blind closed entire stay as neighbours opposite look directly in, zero privacy. Scaffolding in front of the property spoiling the lovely view. Real shame - these should really have been made clear pre-booking.

Beautiful view

We rented the property for 4 nights between vacating our property in Port St Mary and emigrating from the island. It provided a comforting base for the four of us and all our luggage! The only criticism I would have was that you could not increase the shower temperature and so we found the water tepid. The bedrooms are also quite cold, even with the heating on. I'm not sure if its because they're at the back of the property because the lounge area was lovely and warm. I would include a few blankets for the beds. The bathroom off the passage needs more ventilation as there's a damp smell in it. Otherwise the apartment is very well equipped and the sunny lounge/dining/kitchen provides a lovely spot from which to enjoy and view!

ManxGP and Classic TT

First tip: when you arrive on the island, change the country on your sat nav! Having done a bit of reading beforehand we knew to say hello (well, goodnight as it was around midnight) to the fairies at their bridge. The apartment was fabulous. A glorious view across Port St. Mary harbour. It was only the two of us so we had plenty of space to spread out. We appreciated food in the fridge, and the tea/coffee. Parking was very handy at the back. When booking I enquired about disabled access and there are steps into the property, but the floors are flat and smooth, so my wife could move around well even without crutches. There is a Co-op nearby, a post office, chemist, and takeaways. Two coffee shops but note their opening times. There are a few ways down to the beach, and the place was quiet and relaxing. Port Erin is a short drive which has a Shoprite supermarket (with Sainsbury's stuff on sale). As for the chippy there, yes they do very tasty chips and proper fishcakes! The apartment is very well stocked - I'd suggest you have a look in all the cupboards and kitchen drawers to see what is where. As the trip was a 60th birthday present for the ManxGP/Classic TT it was a pleasant drive towards the Mountain Course, and as it wasn't the proper TT there was a more relaxed, spacious atmosphere. There is a helpline if you have problems, but I'd like to have left a voicemail instead of it just ringing and ringing. Would I book again? Indeed - and we are pondering booking for next year's Manx GP, its centenary.

A spacious comfortable retreat.

I booked Carrick Bay Apartment for my son and family for a 4 day stay and they were absolutely delighted. Communication and information with Island Escapes was excellent throughout. The apartment is well situated only a few minutes walk from beaches, shops, restaurant, cafes and the railway station. Spectacular views across Port St Mary marina and Gansey Bay from the front windows and the shutters on the floor to ceiling windows provide privacy without blocking the view. Inside the apartment the decor is fresh and modern. Very spacious lounge and bedrooms, with a well equipped kitchen. The Manx milk, bread, butter and cheese and tea/coffee provided was a generous touch that was very much appreciated. Everything was very clean. The ample parking space at the back of the property made access easy. I would highly reccomend the Carrick Bay Apartment and Island Escapes

Lovely apartment, everything you could wish for. Unfortunately some of the near by restaurants are no longer open but as we came predominantly for the bike racing not an issue for us. Easy parking but also on a bus route to Castletown and Douglas. May well be back next year.
