Stone-built Villa Arapaki is located in the beautiful village of Vournikas, Lefkada, Greece. Surrounded by evergreen landscapes, wildflowers and olive groves, it boasts some of the most EPIC views from the South of Lefkada.

There’s Wi-Fi, international Satellite TV with SPORTS CHANNELS and all that jazz. The villa is equipped with everything you could need for a cosy stay at a private villa in Lefkada, as this property was never intended as a holiday rental, but as a HOME.

Villa Arapaki is the beautiful and certainly... unexpected end of a 25 year and who knows how many miles SAILING journey AROUND THE WORLD.

10 years ago, on a stormy night, Mike and Theresa, a British couple, anchored their sailing boat in Lefkada. They have NEVER LEFT this island since.

As the sea has been their home for so long, they considered for the first time in years... they could feel HOME again, on land.

They fell in love with Vournikas, this tiny typical Greek mountain village in the South of Lefkada. They built Villa Arapaki as their dream house, at the HIGHEST PEAK of this lovely little village. They loved their privacy, so they thought it was the ideal place for that.

Theresa remembers why it HAD to be Vournikas: “I chose the village of Vournikas as my nest, as I felt a part of it from the moment I arrived here and was so warmly greeted by the people here. The mountain behind felt like our own PROTECTIVE WALL, courtesy of Mother Nature. The wide sea and valley view to the front sets the scene for a feeling of QUIET PEACE and AMPLE FREEDOM.”

SUNSETS over the mountains are quite a thing up here. So is the MILKY WAY, that can be observed with the naked eye. Or the morning coffees on the uptown terrace with that insanely amazing view...

The LOCAL TAVERN in Vournikas, only a short walk from the villa is one of the most valued on the island, respected not only by tourists but by Greeks alike, for its own fresh local farm produce. Lunch or dinner can also be ordered and DELIVERED to the villa.

Many more dining and drinking options reside in SIVROS, the neighboring village, a few minutes drive from Vournikas. Only 12 minutes drive away, you’ll find SIVOTA, this exquisite sailing boats paradise bay, with plenty alternatives for drinks, snacks, or enchanting dinners by the sea.

A small market in the village assures some of the basic shopping, while larger supermarkets are available on the main road of the island, about 10 minutes drive away.

Here’s the LAYOUT of this property. 3 floors. 4 bedrooms with fantastic views and dedicated bathrooms. 2 lovely open-spaces as living-dining-kitchen, one on the ground floor and another one on the first floor, both continued with shaded terraces with legendary views. The area that our guests love the most is the large courtyard by the infinity swimming pool, featuring a stone coal/wood barbecue. Private parking.

The first floor is the most exciting part of the property. As Theresa is a fantastic chef, she designed her dream kitchen as she wished. It’s spacious, airy, deeply infused with natural light and has everything you could possibly need for cooking goodies at home.

The QUIET street leading to Arapaki is ending right at this villa, so our guests are not to be bothered by traffic noise, at all. If you’re a nature lover, there are a few hiking trails behind the property, as you are nestled in the mountains.

To enjoy all the beauties this island has to offer, having a CAR is mandatory. If you don't have one, we can help you rent one. As we can help with renting a boat, SUP, kayak, bike, motorbike, or whatever makes your holiday vibes happy.
