The house was fantastic, so much space and in such a peaceful location. Shops only a 10 minute drive away. Ludovic was fab at explaining everything when we arrived and also returned to check the pool midway through our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Weâd love to stay here again
What a lovely property! This is an old converted farmhouse with 3 doubles, one twin and one bedroom with twin beds and a set of bunk beds. Itâs a large house just on the edge of town - a few minutes drive or 5-10 mins on a bike. The house is exactly as it appears in the photos although the owner had requested us to not use some of the land below the front of the house due to issues with some of the original walls. However there is still a large garden behind to enjoy. Ludovic, the host, met us and explained everything we needed to know about the house and pool. The local area is perfect for cyclists with wide cycle paths almost circling the entire town and tow paths alongside the river in both directions which provide lovely flat rides. The viaduct at the bottom of the hill is worth a visit to walk over the steps of the arch below. There are 4 supermarkets close by, all within a 10 min drive but these all close by 7.30pm and 12.30pm on a Sunday.A few points to note - flies in the kitchen - take some reliable fly spray with you as it was difficult to purchase it. There is a neighbouring property around 20ft away from the patio. Although it wasnât a problem for us, at times there was a fair bit of noise coming from it which may cause some irritation if you were looking for absolute peace and quiet. Finally, the pool table is not completely flat so allows for some interesting shots (and no chalk)!None of that was a real issue for us and we would highly recommend!
