A Historic Gem with Unbeatable Views!
This charming, historic home offers an absolutely breathtaking view in every direction! At first, we were concerned about the warmth upon arrival, but the window units cooled the space much faster than expected. While one bedroom lacked a window unit, keeping the doors open across the foyer worked well, and the floor fan was a great help in circulating the cool air.Upstairs, there are two bathrooms with a somewhat unconventional layout—understandable given the home's age and the addition of modern amenities. One bedroom does not have direct access to a bathroom, requiring passage through one of the other two bedrooms. Downstairs, the first-floor bedroom is located on the opposite corner of the house from the main bathroom.A small note of caution: the doorway transitions could pose a trip hazard, especially for older guests. In our group of six, three were over 80, so we were mindful of this while moving about the house.The kitchen is compact but more than functional, with ample space available in the dining and family rooms. The Wi-Fi worked exceptionally well, and we had no issues with hot water throughout our stay.Overall, we absolutely loved this place! The view alone makes it unforgettable, and to top it off, we had the pleasure of meeting the friendly owners as they worked around the area.
