Very disappointed
Beautiful, clean home, nice areaBroken washing machine wasn't reported to us until after check in. The host volunteered a 40 refund which was nice. It almost covered what I spent at the laundromat, it didn't cover the time I wasted sitting there waiting for the wash and dry. The hot tub was too dirty to use, they sent someone out to clean it but it was the last full day and then it was too cold to use. We had issues with the electricity that were never addressed. The living area and front porch had some sort of a short and had no power. Another issue with the refrigerator powering off overnight, we lost all of our cold food. The host never responded to the fridge issue and did nothing to solve the electricity issue in the living room. There also was some things missing like coffee, toilet paper and a dish sponges. The home is lovely and I would love to give it 5 stars, it truly is a 5 star property if the amenities that were listed were functional and/or available. We booked with short notice and it felt like the property just wasn't ready for guests. I spent most of my time in Black mountain either at the laundromat, going back and forth to the store get basic supplies (how can you now have toilet paper?!) or communicating with the host. It was all and all a major disappointment and felt more like a chore than a break. 3 stars when I really wanted to give it 1. The game room was pretty cool and the place was eat off the floor clean, the kitchen was well equipped.
