Rose Retreat is the perfect holiday base for everyone. The house boasts 3 spacious bedrooms, 3 bathroom and 3 toilets. Well equipped kitchen has everything you need . Central air conditioning keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter in a just minutes, Smart TV with Netflix, Make your journey more comfortable than ever.
Rose Retreat just 10 minutes drive to the CBD , 5 minutes drive to Mona museum and 20 minutes to the airport. Lots of restaurants and shops are few minutes drive.

The Space:
Rose Retreat, Wake up to expansive views of beautiful MONA and the Derwent River, along with mountain scenery.

This substantial 3-bed home is positioned only 10 minutes drive from the Centre of Hobart CBD and less than 2 minutes drive to Glenorchy/Northgate Shopping Centre, Restaurants, Bunnings and Kmart.

Had a big day? Why not have a movie night! We have 3 Big smart TV with Netflix with fast internet.

We also have lemon and plum trees in our yard, Please pick one and try it!

There are plenty of playgrounds and parks nearby. Across from MONA the bistro restaurant offers good value family meals or the Boatshed restaurant on Cornelian Bay offers great food and service, amazing water views and playground for the kids.

Very disappointing stay

No hot water til day 3 due to no gas cylinder, rats in back yard, lawn not mowed, slow response to problems. Small refund as compensation

Great location and big property

Overall really good place to stay. Easy to get out to local sights and convenient to shops and facilities. Great families in the house. Only thing that would improve the location is a dryer in the laundry and TV in lounge did not have free to air tv. Other 2 tvs were fine.

Property had lots of space, big rooms. Lovely view at the front. however being along a busy road made it noisy if you’re not used to traffic noise.

We recently stayed at a property in Hobart, upon arrival we were greeted with the following; - the lawn was not mowed - The front of the house had broken timbers on the beams -The front of the house had broken tiles on the front stairs and verandah some of which had been stuck down with grey tape - There was a major rat and mouse infestation in the back yard - The covered pool was empty except that it had 10 inches of water in 1 end, and dead mice and rats in the other - there was a mouse hole into bedroom 3 which we plugged up with aluminum foil - the 3rd bathroom shower filled up with water, we had to notify the owner who engaged a plumber to fix it, it was blocked up with a lot of hair - the kettle leaked - we couldn't get the TV in the main loungeroom to work - the BBQ's were not useable, they were very dirty and no gas bottles available - there are broken toys and old furniture out the back and in the pool area -there is no self closing doors/ gates into the pool area -the smoke detector is hanging out of the ceiling - broken glass in the windows in the pool area - we observed multiple cartons of food in the garage when the pest controller opened the garage doors, some of the cartons had been chewed through by rats - no underlays on the beds, no pillow protectors, very worn linen on the beds. There are other issues. Despite all of the issues we stayed for the 9 days that we had booked; the house was well located for our purposes, a shame it is not cared for.

Our stay at this property has been nothing short of a terrible nightmare! The things that we encountered during our stay in this property are as follows: 1. Smoke detector broken and hanging off the ceiling. It has no battery in it and is NOT WORKING. This is a serious safety concern and a potential SAFETY HAZARD. 2. THE PROPERTY HAS AN ACTIVE RAT INFESTATION IN THE GARAGE - This is a worse BIO AND SAFETY HAZARD that we have risked exposure to. RODENT INFESTATIOM SHOULD BE GROUNDS FOR the HOUSE TO BE DEEMED UN-INHABITABLE. 3. Bedroom 3 has a rat hole which we had to plug with a tissue paper to ensure our safety. 4. Wardrobes have rat poo all over that goes to show that rats have been inside the house. 5. The backyard has dead rats lying around. We have been informed by the owner that he has put rat poison in the backyard and alerted us to ensure kids stay safe, however what we fail to understand is how is the property been allowed to be rented out when the dead rats haven't not been cleaned away or when the rat poison is still lying around in the backyard. 6. There is dead rat in the pool which was also very unclean, dirty and serving as breeding ground for bacteria due to the stagnant water that has not being cleaned. Leaving the pool uncovered and open is a danger to the safety of the property's occupants and a potential safety hazard. 7. GAS in the property stopped working so we had no hot water in the showers/bathrooms, and we couldn't cook any food. Gas is not working!
