Peaceful Pastures - Secluded Couple's Retreat

Whether you are looking for a perfectly private romantic weekend, or just a break from the hustle and bustle of your work life, Peaceful Pastures has the serenity you're looking for! Relax with a soothing lap pool in your front yard, no neighbors, and the soft nicker of grazing horses in the field. And it's just a short drive to "The Shoals" area of four small towns with lots of restaurants and attractions to choose from.

This country home is nestled in the middle of a 40-acre horse farm, surrounded by trees. The long drive winds up to the house alongside the pastures, and past the horse pond. Outside, you'll have a large carport, a lap pool in your front yard, a wrap-around porch to enjoy the views from, and a screened porch off the master bedroom to enjoy your morning coffee.

Inside, the home has a surprising ski chalet feel to it. The yellow poplar paneling was cut from the farm, and is a wonderful backdrop for the airy 2-story dining room. The TV room / loft bedroom overlooks the dining area, and the kitchenette underneath the loft is spacious and uncluttered. The first floor also has a half-bath, a master bedroom with adjoining bathroom, and a laundry room.

Upstairs you'll find the TV and DVD/VCR player, couch, ottomans and a king-size bed in the loft. Down the hallway is a large bathroom with separate tub and walk-in shower; and also a cozy, smaller bedroom with a queen-size bed and gorgeous views of the farm.

You are welcome to explore the barn, the pastures, and the trails through the woods. The old horses are friendly and love treats, but they still have some spunk in them, so be cautious around these big guys!

Peaceful Pastures is a couple's retreat with a maximum of 2 adult guests. No parties or gatherings allowed. Only registered guests are allowed on the property.

Absolutely no vaping or smoking (of any kind) allowed anywhere on the farm or in the house. This is a fire hazard to the property and to the neighbors' farms, as well.

No pets allowed, and please be aware that the owner's pets live on the property. Be safety conscious at all times in regards to the pets, as well as other wildlife on the farm. Hunting, fishing, trapping and shooting are not permitted. Please keep your speed very slow on the driveway.

If the property is excessively dirty after check-out, or if there is any evidence of pets or smoking, an extra cleaning fee will be charged. Kitchenette is available for small meals and snacks only, with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, dishes/silverware, and complimentary coffee. No grilling/frying allowed. Please plan on patronizing our local restaurants for your larger meals. Dining guide and tourism brochure are provided.

The swimming pool is a lap pool, approximately 4.5 ft. deep. NO DIVING for your safety! The renter agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Peaceful Pastures and its owner from any and all claims, damages liability, or losses whatsoever arising out of or in any way associated with the renter's use of the swimming pool, including but not limited to death, personal injury, or property damage.

Guests are renting the entire main house and private pool, with access to the barn, woods, and pasture. The host/owner's home is private and close to the entrance gate, not visible from the main house. After your house tour upon your arrival, you can reach your host very quickly via text/call if you need assistance during your stay. Owner quietly maintains the pool for you very early each morning.
