A lot walking of staps
To many step to get to the porch and the driveway was to steep to park on the car door would knot stay open

Great cabin! Wonderful location!
Had a great stay for Thanksgiving week. The location is just what we wanted - close to Glades Rd and the Artist's loop. Super quiet, nice for dog walking too. Great view! Loved the extras like the Keurig coffee maker, the arcade game my son loved, and the DVD players with each flat screen TV.
Make sure you are friendly with the neighbors next door as you will need their cooperation if you want to turn around in the drive and not back all the way down the hill to the road. We had one car and they had 4 so we needed them to give us room. Very friendly folks so it was ok.
Only issue we had was a stray cat. We have rented with VRBO for several years in multiple states and this was a first for us. Not great when you have 2 dogs with you and our son of course was in tears upon departure with concern over the poor thing making it thru the winter with no home. We would suggest someone pls call a shelter to put out a humane trap and catch the poor fella who was very sweet and people friendly.
Be careful on the steps going up to cabin - they are new and look great but my general contractor husband was concerned - a very large gap is between the stair treads and the rail bottom so a small child or dog can easily fall thru - just a reminder to be careful and watch your pets and kids on steps.
We loved our stay and would come again for sure - just please take care of the poor homeless kitty, that was a huge distraction. Thanks again for a great stay!

We have a 24/7 on call service department, if we would have been called about the stray cat we would have been able to immediately call our local animal shelter to come rescue it. Makin Memories Cabin Stay
My family of four, and our furry companion, stayed at the cabin for 5 nights. Let me start by saying that the cabin itself was cute and well equipped for our stay. We ate at the cabin every day and found the variety of dishes that were provided surprising. The beds were also a good size and comfortable and after a thorough cleaning of the jets the jetted tub was enjoyable. Now here are the negatives: the driveway is very steep. While they state there is room for 2 vehicles you might have some issues getting in and out of the driveway if the neighboring (downhill) cabin is occupied. This could be especially troublesome in the winter if the roads are slick. We used the game room extensively during our stay and the small size definitely made playing pool a challenge. They provide several short sticks to use for tight shots but it is not ideal to say the least, especially when trying to play as a family. The other downsides were that the tv didn't work and the radio only offered static which were both reported on the night of arrival. The most aggravating part of our stay was that the hot tub didn't work the entire time we were there. While we enjoyed the cabin my husband and I were VERY unhappy with the management company of the property. I sent an email and left a phone message our first night and got no response or indication that they received either. I called again the next day and spoke with a woman who had a maintenance man come out to look at the hot tub. He didn't arrive until around 6 in the evening and simply left a card saying that he would inform Jackson Mountain Homes that they needed to send out a hot tub tech. This was day 2 of 5. After that nothing was heard from them. I gave them day 3 to see if someone would call or come and when that didn't happen called again on day 4 an hour before the office closed and had to leave a message because no one answered. They didn't bother to call or email the next day either. Needless to say they are severely lacking in customer service. I would have understood if they had communicated that they were sorry but couldn't get anyone out to fix the tub during our stay but instead we got silence. The hot tub was one of the reasons I chose this rental and it was not usable at all. We will NOT be using this company again in the future and will be sure to let our friends know of our experience with them. If the cabin changes management companies then I would recommend them, otherwise look elsewhere.

We do care about our guest experience and show that a tech reset the hot tub thermostat on July 10th of your stay. If there were additional problems with the hot tub, we would not have known about them unless notified. We do have a 24/7 on call service department, and if we would have know about the TV not working we would have address this when the hot tub was reset. Just like the pictures
Loved the cabin and it was true to the description. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the hot tub was 57 degrees and unusable. Also, the jets in the bath did not work when we tried to use it as an alternative. We did find a way to fix it written in the guest book you sign as you are leaving but we didn't see that until our way out.
