Perfect Kansas City Trip
This house is amazing.!!! Very clean. Has everything you need, like home away from home. Frédérique was great to work with and communicated every stage from booking to check out. Beautiful spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. We had 7 of us for our girls trip to KC and it was perfect for all of us. I would stay here again and again.
The house was big and clean. However, was disappointed in location. The neighborhood was not ideal. Did not have any problems with owner. And once in the house, all was good.
Nice downtown property
We stayed here for a concert at sprint center. Nice location with good amenities. Has some “rules” but what reasonable owner doesn’t? There were some nice “extras” such as coffee and creamer, shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathrooms. As always I don’t like the new photos that are used on realty sites as they distort actual proportions of space. But this is a NICE downtown VRBO. Our friends aren’t familiar with “downtown” living like my husband and I so they thought the area was sketchy. But we didn’t. It was winter and things look different when cold with bare trees. However, we didn’t understand the parking set up. There is a large long driveway that extends to the back yard that is chained off. We were asked to leave half of the shared driveway open for the neighbors which is reasonable, but there is limited street parking available which is what the owner expects you to use. Not a HUGE deal, but I think it would be more reasonable to use a part of the back driveway instead. But that is their choice I suppose for a reason. The other thing is there is a loft area at the top of the spiral staircase which you are “not allowed to look at” for fear of leaving footprints that will then be subtracted from your deposit. We didn’t go there, but the sign is at the TOP of the steps. That sign should be at the bottom I would think. I could not get the TV to work in the downstairs bedroom. The bathtub upstairs is kind of dangerous. It is built up but is a shallow tub. The step is of center and precariously behind a clear water wall and the commode. Two of our male friends had trouble exiting as you must do a yoga worthy squat/lunge/family jewel protective reach with one leg that lead to both of them toppling over. But that made for just a funny story. Overall it is great and we would stay again
Excellent home with an even more excellent owner!
Great home. It's huge. It's clean. It's hip. It's swanky. We were in-and-out for business but stayed long enough to check out the home and the area surrounding it. There are plenty of restaurants and bars you can walk to with little effort. The homeowner was very hospitable and accommodated us in every way.
Thank you SO much for this review. I'm very happy you enjoyed your stay at The Loft. We hope we'll have the pleasure of hosting you again next time you are in Kansas City.
Beautiful house, perfect location
We had out-of-town family stay here for our son's wedding and it was the perfect choice. We had events scattered throughout the city over the long weekend and the house's central location proved to be very convenient. There is plenty of parking on and off street if you have multiple cars, as we did. The house is located in an older but safe neighborhood with lots of KC charm. The house is very large and nicely furnished. Each bedroom has a large screen tv (as do the common rooms) and we heard that the beds were extremely comfortable. The house has been completely redone so all of the bathrooms are new and the huge eat-in kitchen is modern and completely stocked. There was an abundance of linens and towels, all of the bathrooms were stocked with lovely necessities, and there was a laundry room with supplies. The house was spotlessly clean when the guests arrived, and the coded front door lock was so much easier than juggling house keys among the various guests as they came and went. This is the place to stay if you are visiting Kansas City or, like us, you need some extra space for visitors.
