Great location near the subway. Quiet, relaxing and has a lot of charm and character. Loved staying here!
Thank You for staying Sammie! So Happy to hear you enjoyed:) Can't wait to have you as a guest again in the very near future. Sincerely, Terry
Property was much larger than I expected. Room was clean. Supplied with many amenities. Could easily stay in this room with 2 people for an extended period of time. Very close to the T which made commuting easy. Price was about half of what I would have paid at a hotel.
Thank you for a great stay.
Good Place to Stay - A little remote
My husband and I stayed here for a short trip to Boston for vacation. The accommodations are fine for two people. We didn't encounter the issues others cited about the bed - but the bedroom is a little tight. If you are a big person - you'd feel cramped. The living space and kitchen area are great - no issues. The bathroom is fine - the only note I have there is that you might consider bringing your own hair dryer. They do provide one but it's a model from the 70's I think that is all sound and fury but slow to produce dry hair. As others noted, this is close to the Orange Line that gets you downtown pretty quickly (Downtown Crossing and State stations are in the heart of the main tourist areas) and that was convenient. However, this apartment is located in a neighborhood that doesn't have anything in the way of diners or anything to grab a quick breakfast so you are kind of forced to leave for the day in order to get coffee. Nor is there any kind of shopette or market close by that we could find to grab some morning essentials. The closest food is in Mission Hill which is a little over a mile walk. There is a grocery store there as well as a drug store and several places to eat. We happened to find this as we just kept walking the morning we checked out to see where the road went since we didn't have time to take the train into Boston just to eat breakfast. I'd suggest to the owner to provide coffee and filters and maybe some of those individual creamer/half and half things that don't need refrigeration - since getting those on your own isn't an easy fix for that first morning when you arrive later in the day or until you get a chance to find Mission Hill. There is a 3-ring binder in the living room that had some information in it - like places to see, suggestions where to eat, but no information about where those places were in relationship to the apartment. I know - Google, but I'd suggest beefing up that notebook with a better map of the local neighborhood that marks where things are and information about how to get to Mission Hill and what is there. If we'd known it was that close we'd have gone there earlier. Having gotten the lay of the land though, we'd consider staying here again - especially for a longer stay when we'd use the kitchen.
Thank You soo Much for staying with us Denise and the detailed review! Yes we are in a quiet residential area, Mission Hill, Is the place to go just a few blocks away and has great restaurants, a full service market and other amentities you need. Follow Tremont street just past the subway station. Google maps is awesome so you are never lost. Mission Bar and Grill a favorite about a 20 minute walk and Milkweed great for Saturday and Sunday Brunch. Just past the subway. We do listen to our guests and are constantly looking to improve the bed has been replaced and a hair dryer is on order. )) Thank You for Staying with us! We look forward to your return visit in the very near future,
Happy Trails, Terry
