Lost in the bush... could stay forever. A perfect getaway.
What an incredible job Julie and Bob have done with this rustic bush hut in the middle of Budawang National Park. It is the perfect place to escape the city and disconnect from phone and internet, and to simply take in what nature has to offer.....plus the convenience of gas hot water and cooking, and a wood fire ready to go. The sweet song of the bird-life, the rustling of the leaves in the wind, rain on the tin roof, canoeing down the Clyde, plus the company of the hilarious donkey, Brien, and dogs kept us entertained. Don't think I've taken so many candle-lit baths in my life, what a treat. Thanks for the fresh eggs, homemade lemon curd and fresh picked citrus. A delightful stay. Thank you Julie and Bob!!!
Thank you Matthew! Delighted you enjoyed your visit. All the best, Julie & Bob
What a lovely relaxing stay at the Bush Hut. Our two nights were not enough! The Bush Hut was so well stocked and felt incredibly homely and comfortable. We didn't know whether to bring little things like salt and pepper and various other cooking utensils but found the Bush Hut had it all - including plenty of candles and candle sticks. The smell of the hut was absolutely gorgeous, really natural and woody. The various day beds made it very comfortable to lay wherever we felt to read a book. The fire was absolutely wonderful and did us very well after excitedly canoeing in a storm. And that outdoor bath... safe to say we did not use the shower. I would have loved to meet Julie and Bob to thank them deeply for their hospitality.
Cosy and full of rustic character
Enjoyed our 2 nights immensely. So quiet and private. Read all the old news from 1930’s. Good to be off the grid, so refreshing not to be contactable every minute. Cosy and warm in front of a lovely fireplace in the evening. Lots of attention to the old settlers way of life with lots of artifacts to check out. Lovely views to enjoy with a cuppa. Recommend highly to anyone needing a time out to recharge.
Delighted you enjoyed your stay & sincere thanks for leaving the hut in immaculate condition. It’s always a pleasure hosting guests who appreciate what the hut & surrounds has to offer.
Thanks Bob and Julie. What a wonderful way to spend a couple of days. I deliberately seek out these rustic isolated places to stay because of their simplicity and historic values. It really does put into perspective whats really important in life. The Bush Hut is rustic, but cosy and comfortable. Hot water, clean amenities, comfy bed and complimentary lemon butter eggs and milk. All this with access to the river across the road where there are complimentary kayaks and canoe to explore make the Brooman Bush Hut the perfect romantic getaway. Thanks also to Brian and the kelpie that kept us entertained.
Lovely setting and quiet outlook with everything you need for a relaxing off-grid chill out. Great hospitality.
Relaxing perfect stay in a cozy old bush hut
This is such a rare and beautiful bush hut and I will definitely try to come again. Bob and Julie did so well in providing for us - there were even fresh lemons and limes from their tree on the table when we came in and lemon butter! The bed is super comfy and warm, there are nice hot showers, the fireplace and sofa is so cozy, and having a warm outdoor bath under the stars is divine! There is also a lovely verandah looking over the Clyde valley with rocking chairs - perfect for watching the sunset with a bevvie. Can't recommend this bush hut enough.
Thank you Olivia. Delighted you enjoyed your stay!
