a very nice home
the home was very well kept and clean, near to the beach in a quiet location. Our 2 dogs were secure in the fenced back yard. A very pleasant holiday home
Property in a good location & equiped with everything you need, we will book again.
A beautiful holiday home
We had such a wonderful time staying at 'allura'! It is a lovely, clean, comfortable home with a great new bathroom! We especially loved the beautiful garden.
Loved the spot! Beautiful house with a new bathroom which enhanced the stay.
Our two week stay was comfortable, helped by Neville's thoughtful pre-stay contact about requirements - featuring first class Barbeque facilities, a compact but adequate kitchen and more room than our family of three required. The bathroom is renovated and spivvy, the beds are comfortable as are the couches and chairs. Two families of three would easily be accommodated in comfort and style - there are two living room areas, both with televisions - with plenty of room for the dogs in the back yard as well. It's close to a lovely beach and within walking distance to the more spectacular but very much up-market Port Elliott facilities.
Middleton is serene, traffic less, has more than adequate basic shopping very close by - including the posh cellar door of Ulithorne where the coffee and cake is excellent - and a homely boutique chocolate and ice cream producer. Not to mention a bakery every bit as good as the Port Elliot rival where you have to queue for thirty metres in January.
It's a great part of the world, a one day drive from Melbourne and a very short drive to the glories of McLaren Vale.
Then there's the Sunday Goolwa market, not to mention the plethora of aquatic/surfing accouterments, not to mention the many fine dining facilities in both Goolwa and Port Elliot, not least of which is Cafe Bombora. Then there are the day drives to Normanville via the wonderful Inman Valley, and access to Kangaroo Island via Cape Jervis.
My family heartily recommend 50 McLeod Street Middleton as a warm, comfortable gateway to all the pleasures of the Southern Fleurieu.
Excellent Property - family loved it
Great quiet location, very close to the beach, very well set up and very clean, we will definitely be re booking, highly recommended for families.
