A weekend at The Crown Jewel
You are going to be hard pressed to find a nicer condo at this location/community. It's nicely decorated, easy to move around and has top of the line appurtenances (Kitchen appliances, TV etc.). This is an upstairs end unit, great view!!! Has just about anything you will need to cook with including spices.
What I found a little UN-nerving was the long list of instructions. I also wasn't particular excited that the low up from cost is recouped with additional Fee's. To be clear, the Fee's are listed in the break down, so there is no issue there(no surprises). It's the fact that you can stay in a comparable condo in this same community that is listed for $125-$150 a night and pay less a night than staying in this condo for a listing price of $100. So be careful as you book that you are getting the deal that best suits you. Another thing I found as an issue was, the A/C. When I arrived, the A/C was on and the Condo was at 78 degrees. The A/C ran for the next 8 hours straight trying to cool the condo to a pleasant 75. What I believe goes on here is, the owner/operator doesn't turn the unit on until just before check–in. I was there 3 nights, once A/C lowered the temp to 75, it will hold there if you keep the doors closed. Bring your own toilet paper; I didn't know they made a one ply toilet paper until my stay here. Bring garbage bags. I called the owner requesting more and he pretty much told me I am on my own. One last thing to talk about, arrive and leave on time! It's in the rules! Somehow, I arrived 25 minutes early to check in (2:35PM). To be incompliance, I called the owner and asked if could go in early. He did allow me to go in, however it wasn't after a little moaning and groaning and mumble about looking at his list etc.
All in all, I had a great time! You won't be disappointed. Palm Springs is a lot of fun if you don't mind 115 degree heat in the summer. I'm from Las Vegas, so it's not to terrible bad for me to adjust too.
The condo is very nice! Had everything we could ever need. Great location! GPS led us astray, but I made one call to David and he got us straightened out.
This was a great experience, and Palm Springs is beautiful!

Check-in was difficult at first as it wasn't clear that the unit was in Building 2 and I had arrived at Building 3 using GPS to find the place. David was available right away and helped me solve the problem.
The unit is really cute, small and well appointed. One challenge for me was the glasses, bowls, some dishes and utensils were not clean. Had to wash the items I needed before using them and those I didn't use - I left there still dirty.
The reno is good and the quality of finish in the kitchen is evident. However in the living room, the small sectional was not comfortable I think it might be a pull out? For some reason the blinds to the small balcony are one thing that did not get reno'd they are those cheap vertical blinds and about 20+ years old that fall off the track when you open them.
A/C was great, bed was comfy but the linens were thin and cheap feeling - the fitted sheet removed itself every night and I put it back on every morning. All of those are small things but I don't think I will rent here again - not because of the suite but because of the many short (2 day) rentals in that building. Several nights of my 8 night stay there were groups that came in right below me and partied all night long and I mean ALL NIGHT LONG. That is the reason I'd choose another location next time.
This is my go to condo for when I need a break. The condo is always in first rate condition and fully equipped for whatever type of vacation you need. The owners are awesome and react quickly to any email I send whatever the time difference which I think is amazing.
