Lovely cottage in a quiet location, clean and warm with lovely owners. Only niggles would be the bed being quite small (my partner is 6ft and he hung out the end!) and the lack of shower but don’t let that put you off!

A last minute booking so I felt we were luck to find such a lovely cottage where we could take our 2 dogs as well. The only downside for us was not having an enclosed garden so it meant taking the dogs out on a lead. However, it did allow us to see the amazing night skies which we may have missed had we just opened a door!
Overall, I would highly recommend Stable Cottage - though make sure you arrive with tea/coffee/milk as this wasn't provide and after a 6 hour journey, that was what we most wanted - very unusual not to get a welcome pack these days (we've even stayed at cottages that provide a dog welcome pack!)
We really loved staying at the Stable Cottage.
We really loved staying at the Stable Cottage. Beautiful place to stay, and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets with sheep in the back. I've never seen such an old microwave in my life! Haha! Overall it was lovely, and great fun with our baby
Very pretty cottage.
Very pretty cottage. The only real fault we had were the beds. First night we slept on double bed downstairs. We both rolled into the middle all night. I think mattress well ready to be replaced. For the rest of the holiday, we slept in single beds upstairs. They reminded me of the hard beds I had as a child, still not comfortable, but at least better than downstairs. Would have been nice to have more luxurious bedding. Also, I could not find any cupboard or shelf space in kitchen to put items that I had brought with me! I saw someone in guest book had suggested fencing in a piece of garden for doggies to be off lead. That was a good suggestion. I have only marked location lower as, although the cottage was very central in Northumberland, we struggled to find anywhere to eat in the evenings in village. Nevertheless, we had a great holiday and would go again if the beds were replaced.
