Dirty and Disgusting
The size and location are as advertised. That said, the place was so bad we didn’t stay more than an hour. We never unpacked and didn’t stay even one night as it was so disgusting. While I understand that this is a pet friendly room, finding months worth of dust, dog hair, stains, and general grossness are not expected especially when the cleaning fee that is charged is more than the room fee.
I have several pictures of dog hair and stains on the comforter which was just put right back on the bed. Can’t guarantee the bed linen was cleaned and even if it was it had hair all over it because the comforter was put right back on it and that was disgusting.
Shower was gross and dirty with hair left in it as well. I have pics of all of this so next time the owner responds that this is all found to be untrue don’t believe it. It is true and I will gladly share with anyone that wants to see them.
Head board has not been cleaned or dusted in what appears to be months if not years....tell your cleaners to consider looking at the top and back of the headboard.
One night stand had been dusted but clearly the night stand on the far side of the bed was too far away to reach as it was covered in dust and dog hair.
Outdoor lights don’t work so bring a flashlight if you are arriving after dark.
A/C wall unit cover is broken/missing. I don’t care about this but noticed in the reviews the owner claims to have fixed this and I just want to point out that is a lie.
Deadbolt doesn’t work so if you can bring yourself to actually stay here, take the key for the door with you.
I have sent a request for a refund and so far no reply at all so will keep trying. I intend to call VRBO as well since I doubt they want this sort of rental tarnishing the vrbo experience. Which I must say has been great every time until now.
Don’t rent this place unless your intention is to be disgusted.
Hello Kevin- We want to apologize for the poor experience that you had in the home and apologize that the home was not up to standard. We have reached out to our local team and they have advised us that the local General Manager is actively working with the owner of this property to improve the condition. The owner is having his fence and yard upgraded and is also not opposed to replacing the flooring in each unit at his property. Thank you for your feedback!
Perfectly Private but still close to town
I loved the feel of The unit. It felt like our own little weekend apartment. While there is other units next door (our neighbors for the weekend apologized for they're dogs barking but we hadn't even heard them!) it was very quiet and we didn't here a thing! It's the perfect distance from town to where there isn't big crowds of people just outside your door but we could leisurely walk to any destination in town and not miss a thing. I will be booking this place again next winter and maybe even this summer!
Don’t stay here
This place is in bad shape. Not sure they the bedding had even been changed. Small baseboard heater took 3 hour to heat the small room. Door was in bad shape. We had 2 nights, but only stayed 1. Way over priced.
We have purchased new bedding for our home, and the heater is functioning. We are sorry to see our guest was unhappy.
