It is a lovely cottage in a fairly quiet location. The garden was a great treat on the nice days and we managed a couple of bbqs.
The local Waitrose and Coop were only a 5 minute drive away, and had all the essentials, but for a larger shop we had Tesco deliver to the property on the day we arrived, and did a bit of extra shopping in Morrisons when we were visiting Bude for the day.
We liked there being a 2 seater sofa in the dining room, we spent a fair bit of time in that room. The table however could do with replacing as it is incredibly wobbly and looks like it has been repaired several times.
The lounge is a nice cosy room, and in the winter with the fire lit I imagine is a wonderful.
The kitchen is pretty well stocked with pans, crockery and cutlery. Take your own oven gloves though as there weren't any on our visit. There are 2 fridges, and one under-counter size freezer, so we had plenty of space for all our food and drinks. The only downside was not having a dishwasher, but there really isn't any space to put it.
The biggest downside we encountered was that the downstairs single bedroom was rather damp and a bit smelly, the sheets felt damp each night. And the water flow for both showers was erratic going from hot to cold and back again in a split second and multiple times during a shower.
We only used the games room a couple of times. The pool table was difficult to play on as the balls all kept rolling back into the middle of the table! There is restricted height at one end of the table tennis table, and also restricted access to one side of the table because of a step. But it did to while away a little time for the kids while they were waiting for meals to be prepared etc.
