Très bon séjour
L'appartement en duplex est très agréable et très calme. Il est très fonctionnel (nous étions 2 adultes et 2 enfants) avec en plus un garage pour la voiture et une cave pour ranger les skis.
A proximité immediate de toutes les commodités d'Argentiere. Arret de bus au pied de l'appartement.
Nous recommandons vivement.
Perfect location for this luxury pad
The apartment is great and is finished to a very high standard. It was clean and the instructions to check in are spot on.
The location in Argentière is perfect being close to parking, bus stops and the train station.
Would not hesitate to return.
Very nice apartment but very difficult check in
The flat was very stylish, beautiful, comfortable, well furnished and quiet.
But getting there hasn't been easy at all.
I have been self checking in in many other places, and this is the first time I found myself in serious difficulty.
The house number given on the reservation (89-91 rue Charlet Straton in Argentière, Chamonix, France) is NOT on any building and the name 'Ancient Hotel du Globe' in UNKNOWN to the locals we asked. Luckily the waiters in a restaurant in the vicinity recognized the owner's name and were so kind as to direct us to the main door. Finding the keybox was sort of a riddle. 'The key safe box is outside, on the shutter close to my garage. The main door to the building is on the Impasse, on right as you go back down towards the road. The door opens with a key or the code'. Eventually we had to call the owner, and the number listed in the app wasn't the right one.
Maybe everyone else uses GPS or Google Street View, but I am not aware this is required to checking in anywhere.
It is rare for anyone to have a problem with check-in when I am away.
The number in the app is correct but as I was myself on holiday in Spain, with a very poor mobile network, I unfortunately missed your calls on my French mobile (as in the Home Away app). My Swiss mobile number did have a network and you were able to reach me when you called the first time. That number is also in the app.
I am sorry that you found it difficult to follow the instructions. They are very clear under "Check-in" on the Home Away app. It is only a small impasse and there are only two garages, only one white one with a shutter and key safe lock box. Sadly you had found someone else's key safe box in a place/description that was not mentioned in my instructions.
I hope that you still enjoyed your stay and at least next time, if I am away, you will easily find the keys!

Very clean and modern. We slept great and condo is well stocked for cooking. Lovely views. Construction nearby was a little unfortunate but not a big problem. Matthew was very helpful and we loved our stay.
Fantastic apartment in agentiere
A fantastic apartment in superb location in Argentiere. Feels homely with a modern feel. Definitely would recommend.
Plus the snow was amazing lots of powder days and fresh tracks for us.

The stay tax gives you the right to have a Guest Card which grants you and your guests free travel on the local train and bus lines as well as reduced price admission to the museums, exhibitions and the sports centre (ice skating, swimming pool). This tax is now paid, in part, by HomeAway (or partner) within the booking process. However this covers only 50% of the stay tax that is due. The balance is added as an "Administrative Fee" and is paid by us to the local authority.
