Conversion de grange à trois chambres, wi-fi gratuit et parking

Just got round to reviewing this property, we had a lovely time. My wife and I and our two teenage daughters thought the cottage was superb. The whole site was really well laid out and there was quite a bit of weekend camping, which didn’t cause any inconvenience at all. There was a lovely walk down into the village and a little more challenging one to the nearby peak, which gave some spectacular views. All round good place, if we’re in that area in the future, will certainly be staying here again.

Being extremely picky, the only minor negative was single toilet in the bathroom but it didn’t really cause any issues for us,

This location is fantastic for us to come down from Scotland and visit family. We have stayed in Ridgeway before. And simply love town farm. We will be back

The accomodation suited us fine. Well appointed and clean with everything we needed. We had a good view of Ivinghoe Beacon, which would have been good to climb up from the farm although we failed to do it on the two dry days we had. We walked across the fields and along a bridle path to the Rose and Crown. A short walk of 10 mins ideal for a drink and meal. We would have gone to the pub a couple of times but once again put off by the weather. Will was available in the farm office if we did have any problems. It did get a bit cold with the wet weather and we had the option of running the boiler if necessary although we did just keep warm enough without. Plenty of room for parking, our party had 2 cars. Lots to see locally. Some inside fortunately with the wet weather. Incredible Natural History collection in Tring , free entry. Tring park extensive and good for a walk. Shuttleworth aircraft collection fascinating, and Bletchley Park all inside largely. Also several National Trust properties within 1hr drive. The edge was slightly taken off the week because of probably one of the wettest weeks in June for some time!

Our stay at the Old Stables was an easy comfortable one. We had everything you could need while staying away from home. The cottage was well stocked with kitchen equipment so it was easy to be self catering. Town Farm is in a beautiful location at the bottom of the Chiltern Hills and within walking distance ( over the farm’s fields) of the local village of Ivinghoe where there is a great pub the Rose and Crown, with lots of real ale. However this cottage needs another W.C. That was the only negative point as we spent a happy week here and felt very welcomed by the friendly staff. We will be back I’m sure.
