Nice little hideaway in Whitstable
Tim and Tara’s 10A West Cliff is a nice little cottage in a quiet street just off the main road and close to everything. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch which we appreciated. East Kent gastro pub is just a short walk away with a great atmosphere and good food. We suggest that Tim and Tara include that pub in their information book.
Fab property in Whistable, a great base to see the coast of Kent
Really great house, and garden. Great for our family and dog. In a great area to use as a base to visit some fab places, Herne Bay, Broadstairs, Deal, Sandwich and a gem of a place Reculver.
Property was equipped with lots of lovely extras, warm and very clean.
Fab few days had by all.
Succumb to the charms of 10A (and Whitstable)
We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in this beautifully appointed apartment. We smiled as soon as we came in - it has a calm and relaxing feel and we felt instantly at home. Everything is just as you hope for - large, cool bedroom with lots of storage space, extremely comfortable bed with luxury linen (as a result we came home and splashed out on bedding from The White Company), cosy living room, separate dining room (when you’re too lazy to go down the garden to Mutley’s Hut), well-equipped kitchen, and a showroom bathroom (the shower is fantastic). The flat was spotlessly clean, the welcome goodies were much appreciated, and the instructions/guidance were excellent.
Suggestions from us - do spend some time in Mutley’s Hut (breakfast or lunch or book reading and sipping a cool drink), wander round Whitstable (lovely shops, great restaurants and pubs, and beautiful sunsets), leave the car and use public transport (bus to Canterbury and Herne Bay, train to Margate).
Restaurant recommendations include Farm and Harper (great for breakfast - and you can book a table), Wheelers Oyster Bar (wonderful crab cakes - book well ahead and take any day/time you can get!), Samphire, Birdies, and The Sportsman (in Seasalter - book well in advance, take a taxi and enjoy a glass of champagne).
Tim and Tara were a pleasure to deal with and responded speedily to any queries we had as part of the booking process. They have a lovely home in 10A and we’re so pleased that we were able to share it. We’re sure you will too.

A lovely and very well equipped flat located on the outskirts of the town centre.
The flat felt like a home from home from the beginning of our holiday. Having a garden and summer house as well was an added bonus which our dog also enjoyed. The flat provided a good base to visit the nearby towns, explore Whitstable or just have a relaxing time. Even though it was in the town it was not a noisy location and there was a nice walk down to the quieter part of the beach away from the town and harbour. I would recommend the flat to anyone who wished to take a holiday in this part of the country.
Immaculately clean and with everything you could need
The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. It is in an incredibly quiet neighbourhood and is just a 5 minute stroll to the beach or town. The garden is secluded and a sun trap on the decking. We had a fantastic holiday, leaving the car parked the whole time, and would happily return. Communication from Tim and Tara was always speedy and helpful. Would highly recommend the property for adults wanting peace!
Côte / Plage:
La plage de galets se trouve à 7 minutes à pied de l'appartement. Il est ouvert aux chiens toute l'année et parfait pour les familles de passer la journée.
Gare Whitstable se trouve à 10 minutes à pied ou 2 minutes dans un taxi. Le trajet est de 90 minutes de Londres Victoria. Whitstable est à 35 minutes de la jonction M25 / M2 sur une journée normale.
La rue est à 2 minutes à pied.
The Old High Street a shopping avec des magasins uniques, cafés et bars et juste autour du coin est le port de travail où vous pouvez profiter de la pêche du jour ou tout simplement regarder les activités en cours.
Whitstable est comme aucune autre ville par la mer. Ses charmes traditionnels, la culture des arts forte et riche histoire maritime complètent appel moderne de la ville. Il est revendication principale à la renommée est ses huîtres qui restent une partie intrinsèque du caractère de cette ville de la mer.
