Bref, parfait. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.
A wonderful place to stay
Beautiful place with every modern convenience.
A wonderful period property converted in to the most spacious and comfortable accommodation. Everything had been thought about and considered with fully equipped kitchen, washer dryer. Modern television with wifi.
The property was set in wonderful grounds next to Le Manior on a small cider farm.
A beautiful base for a holiday exploring Normandy, near to Bayeux, Caen and the beaches
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back in a heartbeat
Beautiful and Peaceful
My wife and I and our 3 adult daughters stayed here late July 2018. The property is well kept and had plenty of room for our family of 5. A very convenient location for our Normandy base. Caen and Bayeux are both an easy 15-20 minute drive away. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils. Beds were comfortable and it was wonderful falling asleep at night with the windows open. In addition to Caen and Bayeux, we made day trips to Mont St Michel and the Normandy Beaches. The only thing that was a slight issue was the internet service. When 5 people are connecting multiple devices and streaming video it would tend to freeze up. If everyone shut off their devices, one person could stream video. Unfortunately we are very spoiled with 1GBs service in the States and my girls are addicted to their devices. We had rented a portable hot spot for our two week trip but cell service was spotty in the house but ok if you walk a few steps away from the house. The house does have a huge selection of english language dvd's which helped solved our nightly movie habit.
Although my family is not fond of guided tours, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 hour tour with Normandy Sightseeing Tours. Also the Caen Normandie Memorial Museum was enjoyed by everyone including my 19, 21 and 24 year old daughters. You learn so much more than is taught in typical US history about WWII. We also highly recommend La Rapiere in Bayeux for a delicious dinner. Thank you Debbie for sharing your beautiful home with us.
Idyllic house and location
We spent a very happy week in this wonderful house set in the very peaceful surroundings of a cider farm. Our party was made up of two families totalling eight people and there was easily enough space for all of us. The house is beautifully decorated and had all that we needed, including a vast collection of films on DVD, as well as books on the local area. We very much appreciated the "welcome basket" of products from the farm and enjoyed restocking with cider, pommeau, apple and pear juice from the farm shop. The location is very convenient for exploring the some lovely Normandy villages and towns, particularly Bayeux with its many good restaurants, and the D-Day Landing Beaches and museums; but much of the time, we enjoyed relaxing in the peace and quiet of the house and garden. Thank you to our excellent host, who met us on arrival to show us around and then was available on the end of the phone if we might have needed anything. We would highly recommended this house for a wonderful holiday!
What a wonderful family-friendly home! A perfect base for exploring Normandy.
We stayed in this beautiful, well-equipped home for five nights while exploring the region. We were a group of six, but a larger group could easily stay in this spacious home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the surroundings were quiet and quaint. There was a large assortment of books, toys, games, and movies to enjoy during our down time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We loved our stay in this beautiful and comfortable house! We took the train from Paris to Bayeux and rented a car at Renault Rent which was a 2 minute walk from the train station. Stopped at the grocery store in Bayeux before heading out to our French country home. We met 2 of our friends at the house so we were 5 altogether, 3 Americans and 2 British. The house is wonderful!! We all had our own bedroom and 3 bathrooms was perfect. Comfortable beds, clean, everything we needed. We spent time in Bayeux, Honfleur, and toured the D-Day beaches. Julie was our contact at the house and she, too, was great! I can't say enough about our wonderful stay here. The tour of the farm is recommended. Just a great experience! Thank you to the owners for sharing their house.
