Lovely premier étage, appartement de deux chambres à Dawlish Warren avec espace de stationnement attribué. Cet hébergement familial est dans un excellent emplacement avec son propre balcon et vue sur la mer et est situé dans un complexe privé avec des jardins paysagers bien entretenus. Le logement se trouve à 5 minutes à pied du drapeau bleu de sable, la vie gardé plage de Dawlish Warren et dans une courte distance de marche de la gare de Dawlish Warren et de la ville. Si vous souhaitez laisser la voiture derrière il y a d'excellentes liaisons de transport par autobus et par rail à une variété d'attractions. Dawlish Warren est une petite ville balnéaire à environ 10 miles de la ville de la cathédrale d'Exeter. La campagne immédiate est un paradis pour les randonneurs car la ville est proche de Halton Hills et le parc national de Dartmoor. Il y a 18 trous de golf à Dawlish et Teignmouth, ainsi que des installations de voile à proximité Ex et Teign Estuaires. Dawlish a beaucoup à offrir et est bien connu pour les pelouses Brook et adjacents qui sont une maison à une variété de sauvagine, y compris les célèbres cygnes noirs qui sont l'emblème de la ville. Il y a aussi une réserve naturelle locale de 500 acres et beaucoup d'amusements sur le front de mer, qui est très proche. Manger dehors est facile car il y a une multitude de restaurants, traiteurs et pubs dans la région pour tous les budgets et tous les goûts. Pour les amateurs de vélo il y a une piste cyclable de niveau le long de Exmouth estuaire et partir à Exeter. Le logement dispose de deux chambres doubles, chacune avec lits doubles et un canapé-lit double dans le salon. La literie et les serviettes ne sont pas fournies. Vous pouvez soit apporter votre propre literie (housses de couette, taies d'oreiller et draps) ou la literie peut être fournie pour un petit supplément. La cuisine est bien équipée avec cuisinière, réfrigérateur, petit congélateur, micro-ondes, grille-pain, bouilloire, fer et planche à repasser. Les salles de bains comprennent une cabine de douche, lavabo et toilettes. Le salon est confortable avec TV TNT et lecteur DVD et Sky Wi-Fi illimité. Le balcon privé est meublé avec table et chaises et est parfait pour se détendre dans la soirée avec un verre de vin après avoir exploré la région. Électricité fournie par £ 1 prépaiement, qui est payé par le client.

Quiet location close to all ammenities.
A second stay at this property for us [ me ,my wife and adult daughter].
The apartment has a very good location and gets the sun in the morning.
We enjoy sitting on the balcony in the morning and watching the world wake up.
The open aspect to the front overlooking the gardens is very attractive.
The immediate vicinity is quiet.
The train station and bus stop are within a couple of minutes walk if you prefer leaving
the car at home for the day.
There are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance and also a
The beach is a five minute walk away.The Boathouse pub/restaurant is situated on the seafront and is child friendly serving decent food with quick service.
We tend to be out and about visiting the surrounding towns and areas during
the day and the appartment is a nice place to return to at the end of the day and relax
with everything you need supplied.
The owner dealt with any queries promptly and curteously.
In summary the property is a good base to return to and relax at the end of a busy day
and would be suitable for four adults or a small family [2 plus 2 children]

Positives:Good location,near to station,good entertainment and eating facilities nearby.All round a great place to take a young family for a holiday.
Negatives:These are all about the accomodation.The appartment did appear to be clean,however,the kitchen bin hadn't been emptied and it had been used without a lining bag so bits of food stuck in it and it smelled.There was no toilet paper at all,surely it's not too much to ask for 1 roll or even a half roll to be left.The main problem was the shower.When we turned on it was leaking badly from the back of the body and being electric we couldn't use it as it was dangerous.I reported it straight away to the lady who told us she was looking after it for the owner and she said she would sort it,she told me a plumber was coming on the next day (Sunday) at 5pm.No one came so I took it upon myself to arrange with the owners of other appartments there to have access to a shower in an empty appartment of theirs.I was not offered an alternative by the owner or his agent.The shower was eventually renewed on the Tuesday,a wait of four days which is unacceptable in my view.
The general appearance of the appartment is that it is tired.there is damage to the veneers on at least 3 door/drawer fronts to the kitchen units.The lounge and the main bedroom both need complete redecoration as there is peeling wallpaper in both and there is dirty patches on the walls where new heaters have been fitted and are in a different position to the old ones.Both the mattresses and maybe the bed bases need renewing,they are not comfortable and at least one of them is discoloured around the edges.The curtain that pulls over the front door is difficult to close,it needs a new track fitting.The cupboard door out on the balcony is completely rotten,the whole bottom rail is missing which makes it look terrible.There is also an old light switch box on the wall in the bedroom as you go in the property,the plate is loose and you can see wires in it.There is also an old appliance been removed in the bathroom above the towel rail that has been removed,the old screws are in the wall and it needs a blanking plate over the old disused box.I know that this item is not dangerous but it is a cheap fix and would improve the looks of the place which to be honest appears to be as though the owner doesn't want to spend a penny more than is absolutely necessary.It looks like he just wants to spend the bare minimum.Shame,this could be great.

Wer Dreck und Schimmel in der Wohnung hat kann nur flüchten. Danke an den Vermieter Derek Smidt dass wir keinen Cent erstattet bekommen haben. Danke auch an fewo-direkt, dass sie uns komplett im Stich gelassen haben.
The flat is in the perfect position for the bus and train. It was lovely to sit on the balcony for the early morning sun and the afternoon shade. It was a perfect size and both the beds and sofa were very comfy. Kitchen just about adequately stocked. The shower was good and hot. It was lovely to have an allocated parking space. Standard of cleanliness could be better as some things such as the toaster were actually filthy. The one thing we could have done with was a comprehensive list of instructions for the shower extractor fan. There’s an outdated list in the airing cupboard bearing no resemblance to accuracy. Despite the couple of negative comments we would return because of the positives.

Poor condition. Damp, old mattresses, not big enough for 5 occupants.
The location was easy to find, good access to the beach and surrounds. That is where the good bits end. The property was in a very poor state on arrival with serious damp problems everywhere. The shower extractor fan did not work once and the property had cobwebs everywhere and toenail clippings next to the couch. It was an impossible situation for us having just relocated back to the UK and as we had nowhere else to go we had to stay. Te mattresses are old and lumpy and the cutlery and dishes had to be washed a number of times before use. The on site laundry was never open so could not use it and had to travel to Dawlish to do laundry. The owner was understanding our position and when we moved out he immediately came to rectify the issues. That still does not help us in the fact that our kids had to sleep on the floor for 9 nights because the damp was so severe it closed their chests up constantly. No compensation offered although we were able to check out one morning later, which was helpful.
In a much improved state it would be an adequate place for no more than 4 occupants.

I am very disappointed to hear you were unhappy with your stay. However, I responded to your original communication within 2 hours and offered to rectify the points you raised ASAP the following day, but you said you had everything in hand. I would have been happy to cancel your booking and offer a full refund if you wished to move to alternative accommodation but you remained at the apartment and requested an extension to your stay which I agreed to free of charge. I take pride in offering a prompt and friendly service which has been reflected in my previous reviews and would have been extremely happy to remedy any of your problems and concerns if you had maintained further contact.
