Superb Location, but Filthy Bathroom
Great Spot, easy check in, looks fantastic walking in but the bathroom was filthy...torn off towel rack from wall, filthy door, filthy walls, brown smears on the light switch, toothpaste smears and spatters, sticky floor, hair in tub. It gave us such a grossed out feeling. We contacted the 24/7 service right away when checking in and were told it couldn't be cleaned until the next day, however the next day it was not cleaned. someone came in to check it out but did not address any of the things we mentioned or sent pictures of.
We were disappointed with their lack of response.
Not my favourite place
This is a property that feels like it is still in transition. Many things were great, many things were lacking.
There is an old cigarette smell permeating the whole building, especially in the bathroom, perhaps coming through the vents. Quite distracting.
Outside the window is a large derelict building with broken glass, pigeons, & graffiti. Not the nicest building to look at, so the view is not great. We just kept the blinds closed while we were there.
Kitchen amenities were great. Furniture was new and clean.
The neighbourhood is great - Pike Market is a fun, hopping place, coffee shops, restaurants, and the market are so very close.
There was glass recycling collection at 3:30 in the morning each night we were there, which was quite loud and seemed to go on for a long time.
We had some difficulty with the check-in. We were given the code to the door of our room, but we were not given the code for the front door. Luckily, one of the staff members was there, otherwise it would have been quite challenging to get in. On our reservation email, we were also given the wrong room number, so, although our code was correct, it was obviously not working for the incorrect door. Again, lucky that someone was there to help us. (Note: the doors are a bit tricky: pull the door knobs up to get into the room, rather than the more intuitive pushing down on the knobs).
Perfect Spot for a Quick Visit to Seattle
My daughter and I were extremely happy with this apartment! I was impressed with the Alfred app - excellent detailed instructions for reservations, check-in, check-out, and "what's available" nearby. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Location was 1 1/2 blocks from Pike Place Mkt, in a perfect location for exploring the city, and super close to the pier for our ferry ride to Victoria. HIGHLY recommend!
Close to Pike Place Market
The apartment was nice and clean, sorta loud at night with thin windows so you can hear the people downstairs at the bars and restaurants. Unfortunately the tv in the bedroom didn’t work so you cant watch tv before bed unless you sit in the living room and log in to your own app accounts. Check in was easy and customer service responded quickly each time I had a question. Unfortunately, I couldn’t check in early and had to wait until 3PM. Overall, I’d recommend this stay.
Cute Little Apartment, but security concerns and no AC
This was an adorable little city apartment and I really enjoyed staying here. There is no air conditioning, and while the apartment gets good cross ventilation while the windows are open, the windows have to be open and it's a fairly busy and noisy area. My windows also had broken window cranks, but it wasn't a huge issue. The kitchen is well stocked and it's a perfect place for 1 or 2 for a city get away. I spent a week here and didn't feel cramped at all. Closet space was amazing and everything was clean. It's centrally to the market and much of the downtown attractions. There are lots of great shops, restaurants and fun things to do nearby.
Unfortunately, I did have some security concerns. First, all tennants share the same outer door code. Then, on the apartment doors, there is only an electronic keypad and a fairly flimsy deadbolt on the apartment door. It could use a chain lock.
In addition, I was on the second floor and my bedroom window looked out into a common area shared by all the other apartments. My window did not lock securely and someone could have come in my bedroom window from another apartment. It did make me uncomfortable, since 1. I had to leave the window open because there was no AC and 2. The window didn't lock anyway. I never felt like the apartment was terribly secure and I never left my laptop or any other valuables there for that reason.
