Great place to stay in Greenwich
Place was great for our family of two adults and two children (both under 6). Really comfortable flat, lots of room for us to spread out, kids each had their own rooms, bathrooms only have showers, no tub.
Master bedroom very large and comfortable. Beds quite comfortable.
Park right down the road, really nice walk through, and easy to get to the Maritime Museum and to downtown Greenwich. Close to the train and a bit further to the bus, walk back up to the house is a hill, fairly easy but does take a bit to get there.
Was very cold and snowing when we were there, owner was checking to make sure we were warm enough and volunteering to bring extra blankets and heaters if it was needed.
Easy pick up and drop off of keys.
Owner very easy to communicate with via e-mail.
Only negatives was there was no hand soap (a sliver of bar soap would be ideal) or kitchen towels to dry with.

Sorry to hear that the kitchen towel was not there (???) .... if I knew I would point you towards the storage space where we store all of them.
Or was the Paper one the one you were looking for? in that case we do try to be environmental conscious and use the fabric ones only. Apologies.

While this place was large enough, it had the bare essential. We were given on small, thin towel and hand towel to last the 5 days we were there. They did the job but just barely. The linen cupboard had supplies but we were told not to touch them, we ran low or almost out of toilet paper, the kitchen towels were non even supplied. The kitchen was supplied with either poor or inadequate cooking tools including a frypan that was rusted. The main bedroom had a good bed and was large and roomy but the second bedroom had a small, lumpy, futon mattress that was uncomfortable to say the least. On our arrival the key that was promise to be at the unit was not there and we had to travel over half an hour to pick it up and then back to the unit of over half an in London rush hour, not a good experience for newcomers to the country. Privacy in the ensuite bathroom was very poor as the glazing on the window was gone and the gardener or neighbour could see right in. Furnishings were old and uncomfortable. The location was good, close enough to catch a train into downtown London. In summation not worth the money and communication was very poor. We would not recommend this to friends coming to London.

Firstly the Mattress had been replaced immediately. We would have done before if we would have known.

You are right, we do request the guest not to use the extra sheets and towels storage as it is the Load for the following guest after youselves.
BUT we also mention to simply ask me, if needed, as if I know, it can be sorted out.
I always thought it would be easier in case of emergency rather than store them locked away in another cupboard.
We do provide a Bath Towel and a Hand Towel per person.
We do have in the flat a MIELE washing machine with also a short program 30 min. and stand alone Dryer that as well dry towels in less than 1/2 an hour.
We do provide essential as per advertisement and further info sent ahead time. We do provide cleaning products, dishwasher tablets and 2 rolls of toilet paper.
We do provide with a couple of Kitchen cloth, several type of sponges ans similar. .
Lastly we are sorry that YOU decided to drive to the office, when the keys were already on their way to you .
As you saw yourself there was a LOT of traffic that day and the keys were heading to the flat ahead of you but just a little late.
Certainly we will treasure your advises and will try to improve as we move along.

Flat Needs a Good Cleaning/Great Location/Spacious Flat/Hosts Not Very Considerate
Guests: Family of 5 including two children ages 5 and 9 and an elderly aged 76.
Duration of Stay: 28 nights
Arrival: 7am (8 hour overnight flight)
Flat is located in beautiful, quiet, residential neighbourhood with huge park two houses away. Maze Hill is a stone's throw away to the right, go down for all the shopping you need as well as the beautiful and lively village of Greenwich.
Payment Process: hosts were very accessible and friendly during process.
Arrival: After paying and a few days prior to arrival asked host if he could kindly stock flat with a few breakfast items at a charge to us (groceries can be ordered online).
He said no.
He said there were food shops in the airport and along the route and that we should ask our driver to stop.
We utilised car service recommended - Churchill Cars - the staff is great but they don't have large vans so we paid 190pounds for two vans. On return we used car service down the hill (next to milano's) and got one lg van, pleasant driver and paid 90pounds. Use Churchill if you only need one van.
We arranged for the driver to bring keys he said he didn't receive them - he called host and his office repeatedly as did I it was 9 am by then (drive from airport took almost 2 hrs) NO ANSWER. Luckily driver is familiar with property and as he had hoped - the keys were hidden there.
Host, we found out later, was abroad.
No internet as info on file was outdated. Reached a company representative 5 hrs after arriving at flat after roaming calling to sort this out. We run a business and needed to be online. Had 6 numbers for host, none were answered.
No amenities like toilet paper and soap in bathrooms - used sanitizer when we arrived and kids had to go potty.
No labelled linens (as agreed upon) or cleaning supplies, informed host, received rude response that cleaner left linens somewhere and that we had used upall supplies. Signs in linen closet stated a fine for using linens.
Flat was musty and rugs in foyer and lvg rm extremely dirty. I have pics but see no option to post. Didn't let children sit on lvg rm rug. Foyer rug was so curled it tripped 76 yr old.
No working light in entryway led us to leave lvg room lights on to guide us at night as it was pitch black - we informed host but he never fixed, it was very dangerous on steps at night. Host complained that we left lights on in vacant apt and turned them off, arrived 9:30p
LOVED GREENWICH, WOULD VISIT AGAIN, BUT WON'T STAY HERE.
Thank you for this dear guest. I have as much as possible provided in detail our and our contractors versions of the points below under different sub-headings. I also wanted to summarise in the nicest possible way our own feelings about this particular stay.
The owner and stay were a mismatch. I do not believe the guest really knew what she was renting. The description and details of the advert CLEARLY state a “SELF-CATERED” accommodation where the welcome pack are basic consumables to help the guest settle in. In addition, the advert CLEARLY states that this property is “not suitable for elderly or infirm”. Although we make every effort (sending video clip, brochure and photographs) there is no doubt that the guest CLEARLY wanted something serviced with response times within the hour rather than the day and all frills attached. We might suggest that in the future she look for a SERVICED apartment or Hotel where expectations and service would be more equally matched.
Anyway, our side below:-
The trip in the morning from Heathrow is one hour and fifteen minutes to one hour and half. On the particular morning in question although business hours traffic was free-flowing. I spoke to the driver and he said that effectively a reason why it may have lasted two hours is because of the fact that the guest and family in question had stopped by Marks and Spencers to pick up food and drink. The time we provide on our website is without a stop.
In terms of this guest, they were staying for one month. 5 people went in one car and the luggage in the other. They had seven large suitcases with them as well as the usual 1 + carry ons with wheels and there was no way that it would have fitted with the 5 people in the Galaxy.

A lovely apartment in Greenwich
This was a very comfortable well-appointed apartment, right near Greenwich Park and good for transport. We enjoyed both our stays here. Being a basement flat, it was wonderfully cool during the recent heatwave, and yet there are sufficient windows to give light and pleasant outlooks in the main rooms. The owners were very helpful and responsive. If we come to Greenwich in the future we would love to stay here again.
Great stay, nice apartment
We enjoyed our stay at this Greenwich apartment. It's decorated nicely, has everything we need, including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, two bathrooms, three bedrooms and Julian and Francesca were awesome, helping us with any issues we had. Greenwich is a lovely part of town, right next to a beautiful park and there is fairly easy access to groceries and rail stations and bus stations. To get to the tube, you either have a bit of a walk ( twenty minutes or so)or you take the bus. The reason I took off one star is that it really isn't that close to down town London. From the time you leave the apartment, it's at least thirty minutes and often fifty minutes to get where we wanted to go, and includes walking, buses and usually two underground trains.... Depending on where you're going. We didn't mind this, but some people might. The apartment is at the top of a hill, all the groceries and most of the bus stops are at the bottom. There's one bus that goes to the top that we used when we could, but it wasn't always the route we needed. We did quite a bit of climbing up and down that hill. It's not a tiny hill. Overall, we loved our stay. The apartment was great and the owners were very helpful. I highly recommend it for families where no one will have trouble with the climb - you don't want to be carrying children or pushing strollers up, unless your very fit.
