A lovely and well located house with great facilities.

Our party of 13 had a fantastic weekend reunion in the Blue House. The house is very spacious and well equipped with the pool and table tennis tables a welcome extra.

The huge open plan kitchen diner is perfect for large groups whilst the games rooms and comfortable lounge meant that we could stay happily without ever feeling cramped.

There are plenty of bedrooms and most importantly plenty of bathrooms. The house is a 10 minute walk away from Watergate Bay where you can find restaurants and bars and the local taxi companies are cheap and reliable with Newquay a short 10 minute ride away.

All in all we had a great time and would recommend this house for both family holidays and in our case adult groups.

Beautiful, spacious house with large kitchen area

Ben was really accommodating and helpful throughout the process. The kitchen, dining area was very spacious which was perfect for our group and we used this most of the time. This opened up onto the decking area which was great. The table tennis table and snooker table were a nice added extra. All the rooms are large and spacious.

My only complaints would be the mattresses in most of the rooms need replacing as they are old and the springs had gone. And when we arrived, the house wasn't that clean and we had to mop and hoover the floors.

Apart from that, it was fantastic and perfect for our stay.

Lovely spacious house, great for a large group or sharing families

Great spot, short drive or 3/4 mile walk from beautiful Watergate Bay. Came here with a large group for surfing and coasteering weekend, ideal for great restaurants, Jamie Olivers Fifteen and The Beach Hut in Watergate Bay.Very short drive from Newquay Airport ( 3 mins) and a 10 minute drive to Newquay. Pool Table and table tennis table very popular with everyone. I would recommend The Blue House to friends and family and hope to come again one day. Andrew

Lovely large house

We booked the blue house for a long weekend for our friends wedding. There was plenty of space for everyone and the boys definitely enjoyed the table tennis table & Pool table.

We didn't have much time to enjoy the gardens but there was lots of outside space too.

Very close to the airport which was great for the group who flew down and near to the beach and town.

We definitely wish we could have stayed longer!

Big on space, low on quality

A great base to explore the wonderful coastline in this part of the world and all it has to offer and certainly no shortage of space for big groups, but the photos are taken a long time ago.

A huge chalet bungalow with a cheap DIY conversion to a 'cash cow' holiday let. My stay was hugely enhanced by the fact that I wasn't paying. Better is available for less.

The large decking area is still just about strong enough to hold you up and the weeds growing through it add a bit of charm. The gardens were very well kept with all the debris and rubbish carefully piled up out of sight at the back of the house.

Internally the electric radiators provided more than adequate heat and most of them remained fixed to the hollow studwork walls. 'Find the fuse box' was a great game for the kids every time the power tripped.

Whilst counting the missing down-lighters and looking at the holes where the smoke alarms used to be, I noticed the ceiling damage in the kitchen (from a roof leak) had been fairly well repaired and the paint almost matched. The kitchen units themselves weren't delaminating too badly and the two tired dishwashers proved useful, but not both at the same time. The plastic garden furniture alongside the spacious dining table was surprisingly effective.

The half height net on the table tennis table made it nice and easy for the kids, and although grandma found one side of it a bit too high for her jigsaw the other side was much lower and just right. The pool table was much used and great fun, even a novice being able to curve the ball nicely on the natural undulations of the table.

The MDF bookshelves bowed nicely under the weight of the excellent selection of DVDs and books.

The bedrooms have superb sea views and opening the windows let in just about the right amount of fresh air to take away the smell of the mildew on the duvets.

There is a very convenient study at the back of the house and once the stack of garden furniture and broken TV had been relocated the small desk proved a nice sanctuary. Keeping the kids off their i-pads was no problem, either end of the house being Wi-Fi free zones.

Watergate Bay with its endless stunning beach and numerous and varied eateries is only a ten minute walk away, every trip being completed with a punch of the air, the busy and narrow road having been successfully negotiated.

Réponse du propriétaire: I fear that an extended period of staring through the window at the rain may have brought about this rather negative and in my opinion inaccurate review. However, we strive to maintain good ratings and will order a new table tennis table. The tripped fuse was a result of a faulty toaster, which has been replaced. Alas, no more hide and seek with the children. The external railings around the decking area have been repainted and the 'unsightly' compost heap has been cleared.

Excellent house for large group

The house is in a fantastic location - it is literally 2 minutes from Newquay airport and you can walk to Watergate Bay in 10 minutes. Drives out to Padstow, Newquay and other bays very easy.

The whole booking process through the owner was simple and efficient.

The house itself is deceptively large, with 7 good sized bedrooms.

We were a party of 11 and there was more than enough space for all of us.

The kitchen is large and was able to seat all for dinner which was nice, and there is a nice outdoor space for BBQ's and social gatherings.

The pool table, bar area and table tennis table got the most use and provided us with many hours of amusement.

There is also a nice lounge with SKY tv and comfortable furniture.

Would highly recommend this house for group/large family gatherings
